Watches NEWS
AP strategy
I've recently got round to thinking about APs strategy to minimise market flow by reducing manufacturing and moving from ADs to Boutiques. Whilst AP is not in the same league as both Rolex and Patek in relation to value retention these two moves could be positive news for those holding coveted models. My blue faced 15400 is now 3.5k more expensive than what it was 1year ago when bought new whilst Rolex prices have not moved and Patek have made reductions.I, like most here buy watches because I like them and I love my 15400. I cannot see any reason why I would ever look to sell but facts such as the above do offer some comfort not least considering the fact I lost 25% on my ROC 3 years back.
Thanks to a Great Friend!
I need to do a public thank you to my friend Wayne aka Orangedial for the wonderful gesture he had by sending me some AP goodies. Thanks so much. Wayne, you rock! TRF is such a great place to make new friends and share our passion. OEM Omega Parts
Anyone recommend a good source for the ceramic Planet Ocean bezels? I'm trying to find a black ceramic bezel to fit my 45.5 MM PO (8500).
Chrono buttons hard to push on Luminor 121
First day with my preowned Luminor 121 and I love it. I have a gray strap incoming which should look awesome with the gray dial. My question is should the chronograph activating button be hard to push because mine is? It seems like the crown guard gets in the way a little bit. All of my other chronos are significantly easier to activate. Thanks!
Log book?
Do you keep a service log book especially for those of us that have multiple Rolex’s? I realize if you send it to an RSC you get paperwork with it but some of us might choose to use one of the few very excellent and reputable independent watchmakers on this forum and not an RSC. I’m thinking about starting a simple log book, date purchased, dates serviced and what was done. So does anybody else do this?
