AP ROO on bracelet -Pic's please !
I am thinking of adding a S/S bracelet to my Diver, what do you guys think of AP ROOs on bracelet in general, too chunky? Please post pics of your ROOs on bracelet ! ! !
Royal Oak Petite?
Anyone have details on this piece? What movement....it's probably quartz..which would stink because if it was a mechanical movement I would seriously consider one for the wife.
Vintage Omega Seamaster DeVille - Winder
Hi all,I just got my grandfather's Seamaster back from the Omega Boutique in NYC after a full restore - no polish. Watch looks amazing and proud to be wearing for many reasons. I'd like to keep it on a winder and was curious if anyone knew the appropriate TPD and direction? Judging by the inscriptions on the back is dated 1971, retirement gift from the city. Omega wrote what I believe is the serial # 10517XX but not 100% positive that is the actual SN. Picture attached. The in-house watchmaker at the boutique gave an answer of four hours that was no help.Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks.
Is it stupid having a 5711 and 5712 in a 5 watch collection?
Hi guys,So I wanted to know what you think, I have an AP CE Diver, a 5712, a 5167R that I just need to pick up in Davos when I can (2-4 weeks) I am on a spot on the list for a 5711 which I should get after Christmas, and a watch from an independent coming in June, that will make 5, for those who read the daytona thread I decided to pass, it will break my rule of 2 watches per year max, and will break the other rule of no more than 5 in the collection for the next 2 years, so I will use my AP as a light beater...I know they are very close, but even if I prefer the 5712 I love the 5711, and the dial permits the light to play on the color much more, and some pics of it are just magnificent, as well as some 5712 pics, unfortunately not mine as I take crappy pics.I considered the 15202, which I find really nice, but to be honest I just prefer the bracelet, movement is nice as well, when I see both of them next to the other on a pic I always prefer the PP, and one of my rules is get what you
Huge pleasure in giving.
Yesterday was huge brownie points for me from with Mrs. Kevan, green box given with a bi-metal DJ, diamond numerals. She was over the moon. I enjoyed delivering that gift....I then had an epiphany moment. My son is going to get them all when I shuffle off, so why not continue the giving theme. I presented him with my white steel Daytona. I waited for that watch and loved buying it. But I gained so much more giving it to someone who will cherish it. The look on his face was priceless. As I did that my wife gave our daughter a copper faced DJ, the first Rolex I bought my wife.I don't think I have ever enjoyed parting with a loved possession so much.
