My Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Forged Carbon Article On AskMen.com
Part of me has a love/hate relationship with Audemars Piguet. I really enjoy many of their watches, although I don't think they are perfect. Some of their designs are so classic and still hip, and I find myself really liking some of the pieces. Then I think to myself how overpriced some of the stuff is, and how a lot of what the company is - epitomizes the snobby luxury watch culture that I personally reject. Anyhow, this is the Forged Carbon version of the Royal Oak Offshore watch. A neat bumble bee of a timepiece with a lot of stuff going on. Stealth-wealth exterior and a fancy manufacture made movement inside.See my Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Forged Carbon watch article on AskMenwatches-dealer here. The Marc by Marc Jacobs white Bow Watch presents a very simple and naked white face
The Marc by Marc Jacobs white Bow Watch presents a very simple and naked white face without no figures to indicate time. It is powered by a Quartz Movement and it is resistant to water by up to 30 metres. If you get this watch, you can get a correspondence Marc by Marc Jacobs Bow pendant Watch. The two looks almost the same but the pendant watch comes with a string of collar of long line of steel with a logo tab.
When is a TT more attractive then full PM?
Rarely, to me, is a tt more attractive when compared to its full gold counterpart. As much as I love the tt bluesy, the full yg version is nicer looking. But when it comes to the new rg gmt chnr...I think the TT version is nicer than the full gold version. I think it’s because the bezel gets washed out sitting up against an entire rg watch where as the tt has ss which draws your eye to the chnr bezel. What r ur thoughts?
Pictures of all the dials
Interested in a new date just and for the life of me I can't find the page with pictures of all the available dials. I am most looking for the DJ 41 mm with Roman Numerals or possible numbers.
Truth in Rolex advertising
Here's a little something to steam Ed's tail (and also the rest of you GMT lovers). The following is a 1973 Rolex ad for the Red Sub 1680, supposedly featuring Thor Heyerdahl and his Ra II expedition. However, the guy in the photo with the sextant is not Thor, it's Capt. Norman Baker, Thor's navigator, and Norman wasn't given a Sub, he was given an engraved GMT 1675 (which he showed to me in March). What gives? Did they have Photoshop back in 1973?
