Seiko Here I Come: Going To Japan
Japan here I come! Today I leave for a week to the motherland of one of the most popular watch brands in the world. I like that even "non watch people" know exactly what I am talking about when I say "Seiko." I've been invited by them on a media trip, and am going to take pictures and cover it as best I can. My travels there for the week will take me to many places deep into the heart of Seiko, from meeting their master watch makers who lovingly assemble the Spring Drive movements,?? to seeing the assembly floor of their rank and file models consumed the world over. The bad news is that I may not have too many opportunities to blog. While in my grandest perceptions of Japan (I was there once), the country is blanketed in a warm embrace of universal internet access, I have a feeling that I won't have access to it. My time there is pretty regimented, so I can't promise as regular writing as I would like, but be patient. I will be back, and you'll get to hear all about it. As I know there
Got the call.........
and bought myself a Fathers Day present. After looking for a couple months my AD called and said The 15202 is here, are you interested? I was there the next morning when they opened. So, here it is, my AP Extra Thin Royal Oak 15202. What a watch!
1 week in...
So Last Saturday my AP ROO RC arrived. I got a wild hair from reading this forum that I really wanted an AP, after more research I decided on the RC as it really fit my style was 42mm and in the lower price bracket for AP. I have NEVER seen an AP in real life so I had a number of questions and I wanted to trade a Rolex that no longer sees much wrist time so I needed some guidance. I started the journey by contacting a few sellers here on the forum, all where helpful but based on the offerings we could not make a deal. Jacob (Deep-House) was referred to me by a friend and was the most helpful. Jacob did not have a RC in my price range but felt he could find an appropriate piece, about 3 weeks later he sent me a text on a RC he just took in and we made a deal. I shipped my Rolex and made a wire transfer, this was my first transaction of this type and because I could find no reviews on Jacob here I would not have done it if a trusted friend of mine had not made a transaction with Jacob i
Rolex in Benghazi 13 hours movie
I watched this good movie last night on Amazon, I saw a Rolex in the movie and did a google to find out that amazingly the actual fallen hero in the movie was a member of TRF:.rolexmagazine/2017/11...ods-story.htmlI felt bad that these SEAL guys made little money...
