Hands-On: With The Red Gold Piaget Altiplano 900P, The Thinnest Mechanical Watch In The World (Live
Back in December we gave you the very first live photos of the Piaget 38mm Altiplano 900P, the thinnest mechanical watch in the world. The 900P celebrates Piaget's 140th anniversary and continues the manufacture's long tradition of pushing the limits of ultra-thin watches. At SIHH we got our hands on the red gold version of this watch and were just as impressed with it as we were with the white gold version. Here's a recap of what makes the 900P so special and a detailed look at the rose gold presentation. Enjoy. 2 OF 13 The Piaget 38mm Altiplano 900P had to take an entirely new approach to construction in order to achieve its amazing 3.65mm profile. Patek & Leather
Does anyone else have a problem wearing Patek's on leather ? I wish I could wear a leather strap but since I'm always perspiring, even sitting at times, I would probably go through one every other month. I can wear Patek's on rubber and steel bracelets with ease but wish leather was an option. Curious if others have this dilemma.
When made and how many?
Is it possible to find details on when a particular reference/model line was produced and find out how many examples were manufactured/distributed?Thanks.
Posting an expensive watch
I was wondering who you guys use when sending expensive watches I have a Rolex explorer that someone has purchased but I have no other option than to send it via the post but I want to make sure it's insured to the full value of the watch so can anyone recommend a good courier please.
Question about Buying from a Grey Dealer
Hey Guys. Recently bought a HULK from a local AD. They were very friendly, service was great and ended up only waiting a month for it while paying MSRP.Now, I cant stop thinking about my grail watch which happens to be the Yachtmaster 2. The Local AD has the older Blue Hands in stock but would have to order the New Mercedes Hands.Question I have is there is a dealer (In NJ) Labelle Jewelery that has a brand new YM2 for $15.5 all in. I'll see if my AD can match that but don't think they'll be able to, but Whats the deal with Grey Dealers? Is there no ROLEX warranty at all?, no warranty card etc? Labelle has great reviews but when spending this much money on something I want to keep forever, is it too risky to save maybe 1k?Thanks guys!
