Is The Swatch Group Interested In Fighting Apple Over The iWatch Trademark?
Swatch Group, one of the largest companies in the watch world, is defending its "iSwatch" trademark in anticipation of an iWatch from Apple - one of the most valuable companies in the world. Going on the offense and filing disputes to defend the iSwatch mark may be the correct course of action for Swatch if Apple does indeed choose to name their very likely upcoming smartwatch product "iWatch."The situation is seemingly simple. The Swatch Group, which owns the watch brand Swatch has been using the iSwatch name for several years as related to a product collection. Swatch anticipates that Apple will release a product called "iWatch" in the near future and is using legal means to defend the iSwatch name claiming that the term iWatch would be confusingly similar to iWatch in certain parts of the world such as the United States. Nevertheless, the situation becomes much more complex as there are many countries to take into consideration, and of course the differences between the literal phra

Omega Seamaster case back with a Speedmaster Dial
Hi Omega friends, I was hoping some of you Omega experts can tell me if Omega ever made a Speedmaster with a Seamaster caseback. The dial says Omega Automatic Speedmaster and the case back has the Seamaster Waterproof. The movement number is 491 the serial number is 15690493 and inside the case back reads 2857-2856 then underneath it has 1-SC. Can anyone tell me about this watch? Please and thank you!Greg
SMP & PO review. Not a vs. review
I was on another forum where someone asked if he should get a PO and SMP. I wrote a review about it as I am fortunate enough to have both. I thought I'd post it here too.Watched uses are the SMP 2541 Quartz and PO 42mm Co-Axial.WEAR/STYLINGSMP:The SMP wears a lot thinner then the PO. This makes the SMP a fantastic watch for dressier occasions. I have never had any problems with fitting the SMP under a shirt cuff. Size wise they are about he same diameter. Although it makes a good formal watch, it is also suited for causal and even down right beach wear. Omega got it correct with the styling here. The wave dial give is a fantastic look depending on how the light hits it. It looks like a true divers watch.PO:The PO has more wrist presence for sure. It is thicker then the SMP. I wear it to work. My job is semi-casual so I wear a shirt but dont have the cuffs buttoned up. It sits higher on the wrist but not overly high. It wears more smart-causal to casual and outdoor activity then formal.
