5 Citizen Eco-Drive Watches from Recent Baselworld Shows
Japan’s Citizen Watch Co. introduced a number of watches at recent Baselworld shows, many powered by the brand’s renowned Eco-Drive solar technology, which absorbs power for the movement from sunlight. Here are five Citizen Eco-Drive watches (prices included) that are in stores now.The Citizen Eco-Drive Dress (Ref. BU2016-00A) has a two-tone stainless steel/rose gold case measuring 44 mm in diameter. The silver dial has applied rose-gold-toned indices. The watch, which contains Citizen’s Eco-Drive Caliber 8729, has an analog day and date display and both 12-hour and 24-hour time indication. The Eco-Drive Dress comes on a black alligator strap and retails for $325.The Citizen Eco-Drive Avion (Ref. AW1361-01E) is a military aviator-style timepiece with a 45-mm stainless steel case, black dial, and black leather strap with white contrast stitching. The date at 3 o’clock and pointer at 12 o’clock are reminiscent of vintage pilots’ watches. The watch indi

We're very pleased to present to you one of the most important and influential watches you've probably never heard of: the Girard-Perregaux Caliber 350. There is a visceral hatred of this technology that was both so much more accurate and so much cheaper than mechanical movements. It very nearly turned Swiss watchmaking into American watchmaking (that is to say, obsolete.) This disdain has led to some amazing innovations and some incr

I'm considering a RO Day Date but am having trouble seeing one at an AD or even pics of one in the wild. Anyone have one and willing to share pics? Or even some feedback on it?It's between that and a 15300. Feel like I can't miss either way, but would love to see some pics of the Day Date.
5711 bracelet sizing question
Hi all,I have the newer 5711 with the pins that hold the bracelet links together. Anyone here have any tips or advice on sizing this bracelet. What tools are required? I can always bring it to my AD and get it done but I always like adjusting straps/bracelets on my own. Thanks!
