Graham Chronofighter Oversize Navy SEAL Foundation Limited Edition Watch
"The only easy day was yesterday," is the motto of the US Navy SEALs. The watchmaking industry can identify with that. The goal of haute horlogerie is to improve with every passing second. It is not concerned with life and death in a literal sense, but it is responsible for the recording of time, which governs all things. With the release of the Graham Chronofighter Oversize Navy SEAL Foundation Limited Edition watch, Swiss watchmaker Graham honours and supports this?famous division of the US armed forces. Watchmaking and the military have a long-standing association, for timing is obviously essential in war, but the conditions faced by those in battle have inspired some functional and aesthetic changes in watch design C some of which persist to this day.The "hacking" seconds hand was made essential by those wishing to synchronise their watches to the second. The hacking function simply stops the going seconds hand by way of a "stop lever" or "brake" engaging with the balance wheel whe
Bedat & Co. No. 8 Watch For Men Available On James List
Bedat & Co. has an interesting history for not being such an old brand. Life, lost, and then reborn, the brand today is now trying to attack Cartier's market share for women's pieces. During the brand's former life (and potentially again in its future) it had a few men's models as well. One of my favorite of them (and one of the only ones) was the Bedat & Co. Number (No.) 8.Wit a sort of cushion shaped case that had a round dial, the watch comes in a few flavors. There was a power reserve model, and one with a bit date, as well as this most basic version that happened to also be a limited edition model. This is known as the Ref. 878 series of Bedat & Co. No. 8 men's watches. Each of the versions (a few steel, gold, and maybe a platinum one) were offered as a limited edition of just 878 pieces. The dials started with Bedat's really nice hands. For good luck, the number 8 was place at o'clock in contrast to the other applied baton hour markers. Each model has a deeply textured
3590 or 3570 just wanted some opinions.
I've been looking to replace my Speedy I sold off a few years ago. Amazing how much prices have changed even in just 5 years. Anyways, I'm looking at 2. Ones a 3590 from 1996 no box, last of the Tritium dials and the other is a 2012 3570 with full kit. The 3590's a few hundred dollars cheaper. I'm leaning towards that one as I like the aged look. But wanted to know if anyone had some strong opinions either way.
