Suunto Kailash Smartwatch For Prolific Travelers
The Suunto Kailash is the Finnish sport watch company's first "premium" smartwatch, and it has been designed specifically for very frequent travelers. The name of the game for smartwatch makers today is to answer the question, "what do I do with it?" Consumers are increasingly fascinated by the new designs and features companies from Apple to Suunto are putting into their smart, connected wrist watches but mainstream consumers have yet to find the type of utility they need to truly understand how smartwatches fit into their lives. In 2015, it is all about the niche appeal smartwatch when it comes to those produced (perhaps ironically) by traditional watch makers. The Swatch Touch Zero One, for example, is meant for volleyball. The upcoming Suunto Kailash was made for people who travel a lot and want to keep track of their adventures. The name "Kailash" as well as "7R" for the companion iPhone app are full of symbolism that Suunto hopes will help people understand who the watch is meant
Christophe Claret X-Trem-1 Chocolate Watch
You know what tastes better than chocolate? Luxury chocolate. Oh, we like our sweets dressed up, for sure. Hershey's? No way, give us something imported from France and tell us they ship regularly to the doors of presidents and prime ministers everywhere. So what is better than a brown watch? An over $300,000 "chocolate" watch from the secret watch workshops of Christophe Claret (imported from Switzerland!).For 2014, Christophe Claret quietly releases a new version of the X-Trem-1 watch, known as the Christophe Claret X-Trem-1 Chocolate. This new color version of the interesting ultra-luxury watch combines 18k red gold and brown PVD coated titanium. watches-dealer first covered the Christophe Claret X-Trem-1 watch when it was originally released in 2012.In my opinion, the X-Trem-1 watch was underrated due to having a very unusual design and mechanism people didn't quite understand. For example, you need to be a real watch movement nerd to realize that it is quite amazing to have magnet
New to me 2255.80 question on adding strap
Picked up a awesome full size auto 2255.80, the dial on these are top notch. My question is about swapping out the orginal ss bracelet for a strap as I cannot get the bracelet to fit the way I want it to. If I buy a nato or similar strap do I need to change the spring bars as well? Should I bring the watch into a shop to swap it or can a novice change out the stap with the proper spring bar tool? My first omega and second fine time peice. Ah I wish I had more money, need more watches!!!!
To 233 owners...
Noticed something concerning on my watch today and was wondering if it's normal on the 233. If you look at the crystal edges from the top (looking at the dial), it appears like the edges of the crystal (sides on the inside facing towards the case) are dirty or the crystal is sitting on the inner flange of the case and that part of the sad is dirty. Basically where the crystal and case meet. Seems to be all around the circumference of the crystal and I don't think its glue? Can someone confirm this please. Here's a pic of the issue.
This is how I'm sitting right now
Very happy chappyA long time in the making, and a lot of effort - especially as UK based
