Van Cleef & Arpels Pont des Amoureux Watch
This is a very interesting and nice to look at women's watch from Van Cleef & Arpels. If I was a woman, then I would likely start saving up for one. Pennies, nickles, and dimes until I reached $116,000. The watch is the Pont des Amoureux, which means lover's bridge. The complication makes it such that the two figurines? connect at midnight for a "kiss." This was no easy task actually. Check out this image of the watch internals. Just a small part of this area is dedicated to the manually wound mechanical movement. The rest is for the complex retrograde minute and hour hands.? The watch is also in 18k white gold, with lots of diamonds, and the dial is totally hand painted. A real piece of art work with what Van Cleef & Aprels calls a "poetic complication" - how sweet.Read more about the Van Cleef & Arpels Pont des Amoureux watch on my article at Haute Living here. 1st Post. 1st AP
Hi TRF,I've been dreaming about the day I can share with you my first AP! Been lurking around this site for over a year and finally created an account so I could reach out to this seller to buy his watch. K3vin, thank you for a pleasant transaction. You were patient, honest, and an all around cool guy. Glad to have met up with you because it seems like we have tons in common. The watch: NIB AP Royal 15450ST with the silver dial. The 15400ST silver dial was the first AP I've tried on in 2013. It was gorgeous but a bit big for my wrist. It wasn't until K3vin posted the 15450ST for sale that I knew there was a smaller version. After reading every single thread on TRF about the 15450, it became more apparent that this is the watch for me and I needed to check it out. Well here it is. Images are attached. Immediately I thought this was a gorgeous watch but it wasn't until I finally removed all the little stickers - and then - holy MF shit! It got even sexier!!! The finish is impeccable and
New combo
Just picked up a new rubber bracelet from my local Omega boutique. Think it matches pretty well. IMG_1124.jpg
Calatrava Ref# 2526
Stopped in my favorite AD this afternoon to pick up a couple of new straps and behold what was sitting in the estate case....circa 1955/56 yellow gold 2526. Of the 50+ pieces in the case, this one stood out to me the most. Unfortunately, no box or paper and a good chunk of the porcelain dial is missing between 9 & 10 o'clock. The wrist presence is simply amazing and timeless. I can live without the box & paper but the cracked dial...
