What's going on my friends?? Been lazy to post up some new additions, figured while i'm bored let me share with my AP buds! I'm realizing how sick in the head I am that i'm lusting for even more pieces I see some of you guys acquiring on the forum, this place is BAD BAD BAD.. You guys know who you are Anyway this month was a crazy month of watches (AP Blue Scuba, Rose Gold Rubberclad, GMT II C - my third one lol, and finally I realized I had too many 42 ROO's and just got my 44 RG Novelty) Anyway, a good watch bud Zack Ji got this piece for me knowing that I was looking for one, for literally almost 4 years since I sold mine I can't thank him enough, he's the man, instantly brought back memories and feelings !!! One of my all time fav AP's and a RARE BIRD EnjoySorry for pic overloadRubberClad New Dial It's a beautyAnd the 44 Rose Gold Novelty, this piece is such a 'hunk' Literally and figuratively speaking lol
Legacy / Birthyear Watch
So, my first child (boy) is scheduled to arrive this coming October. *my avatar does not accurately reflect how I feel about it*Anyway....I was thinking of getting a birth-year watch to mark the occasion. Something that would be special, that I can enjoy for a while before I pass along to my son when he comes of age. The only caveat being that I would want to acquire it by October (so no extremely hard to get watches). I was thinking of the TT CHNR to mark the occasion and have as the heirloom (talked to my AD and am confident I can source by October). Just posting to hear about other members' birth-year watch stories. Also to gather some alternative opinions to the TT CHNR (maybe non-Rolex)? *my current collection is in my signature* Muchisimas gracias
Painting a dial?
I saw this on Instagram, from creodesignwatchesTo me, it looks good. But, what say the others on the forum? Does this make the Rolex worth more or less?I'm thinking less, but curious about your opinions.
Bought it...sold it......regretted it.....and bought it again
Hi fellow Rolex fansI purchased a Deepsea D-Blue in April 2015 by total fluke in a UK AD.Got complacent as I had a few other nice watches in collection and sold it a year later.Everytime I've seen one on this forum my tummy has turned over and knew I had to get another one...so on Friday just gone I managed to pluck up the courage to pay well over list for a year old watch and it truly feels great to have it backThanks N.
Rolex 1991 Explorer ii 16570 Black Dial Issues
Rolex 1991 Explorer ii 16570 Black Dial IssuesHey guys, I bought a Rolex Explorer ii 16570 Black Dial from a vendor in Miami a few weeks ago (I will not name them just yet, but I can later on if required - I want to give them the benefit of the doubt).I believe I got the watch at a good price, it did come complete with papers, box, service records etc. However it arrived appear to be a lot more scuffed up than pictured. I indicated to the seller that I wasn't happen about this and they refunded me the equivalent of the cost of a polish. OK, not great, but cheaper than posting it back (from Australia). My main issue now and something I would like the opinion of any experts here is when I received the watch, I wound it, around 30 times. Nothing happened, I shook it gently, still nothing, wound it again, then it started running. So I then set it to the exact time here in Melbourne and kept a close eye on it. Later that day, it had lost half an hour. Ok, so I wound it again, set it to exact
