Designer Xemex XE 5000 'Sun' Chronograph Watch Available
Xemex is a great brand built on the expertise and designs of industrial designer Ruedi Kulling. He has done a great job of mixing geometric design, minimalism, and ergonomics. What was once a small watch design operation is blossoming as people are appreciating the look of these watches. I recall my first Xemex watch which was an Offroad model. I recall being so pleased at how each element of the watch fit together so nicely in both construction and aesthetic form. I feel this way about most every Xemex watch. This particular model is simply called the Xemex XE 5000, nick named "Sun" due to the charming yellow hue of the dial. The color, is almost a cream yellow, and suits the watch well. Chronograph subdials are done in a soft chalky gray. The combination is far more calming that one might presume. Hands are black and stenciled nicely in white, and the red seconds hand for the chronograph suggests a utilitarian component to this otherwise very pleasant looking watch. The case is particu
26320 vs 26331
Because of the rock your 26320 thread, I saw the 26331 in blue and thought what an amazing watch... Might need to trade my black 26320 in for this baby. Stopped by the ap boutique in nyc, saw the blue 26331 in person, what an amazing blue, but the sub dials under the light just didn't do it for me. I actually preferred mine on how the the silver trimmed sub dials reflected the light. The reflection of the silver made it unreadable for me. I can't describe why but the 26331 seemed alittle bigger.I also checked out the titanium roc, now that is truely a stunning piece. The dial caught the light right showing off the waffling and texture, the sub dials added great contrast without being overwhelming and the offset date really wasn't noticeable. The best part of that watch was the bracelet, it had some redesign so that it flexed more yet looked the same. The bracelet draped so much better on my smaller wrist( dare I say it kinda like a Rolex jubilee , w weight). Great day in the boutique a

My first Rolex dilemma (Polar or Black)
I'll try to keep this short, I'm looking to purchase my first Rolex and I've choose the Explorer II 16570 for various reasons. I like the fixed SS bezel which makes it fly under the radar more unnoticed than say a sub. It's practical functions of both date and extra time zone, dimensions of 40mm and the fact to me it's good value and affordable, albeit at the very top end of my budget 4000. I've narrowed it down to two watches I've found on chrono24. Both are 2009 models. The black faced is a V serial with 3816 movement. It was serviced by Rolex in April 2017 and had its dial and hands replaced the service receipt showing the cost of 1190 is included in the sale. It's in great condition sadly without box or papers just Rolex service receipt; travel pouch and guarantee card. The other is a Z serial 2009 with 3815 movement. It was serviced by Rolex in September 2016 costing 700. The Polar Explorer comes with boxer, papers and is also in mint condition. Both watches are for sale for 4
