New from Techn: The Merlin Collection
Popular “budget” brand, Techn looks to have another winner on their hands with the recently released Merlin Collection. The military inspired pieces – reminiscent of airplane cockpit instrumentation and early mil watches – are available in a time (with seconds) only or a multi-function version. ?The movement inside of each is a Seiko Instruments quartz movement, specifically the VD78.A quick look at the specs reveal a very moderate 38mm size with 20mm lugs and a mineral crystal. Water resistance is shallow at 50M, which is logical for a watch with pilot-styling. The watch has a number of options for the strap at purchase: NATO, canvas or cowhide leather options are available for each model. The multi-function provides day of the week and date over the time only version.Prices for the time only models are $190-$200 and the multi-function runs $240-$250, depending on your strap choice.Tecnh has continued to put out well designed military-inspired timepieces and

This year, Cartier decided to modify and apply this technology to the Rotonde de Cartier in their brand new Astromystérieux. 2 OF 3 This watch is different from any watch I have seen in recent years. It is not just a mystery watch, but rather a mystery movement. Instead of just the hands being attached to the two moving crystals, t

Moon to Mars Watch
Omega used to make a speedmaster with representations of the earth, moon and mars on the chrono dials. It does not appear to be on the website. It is a striking watch, but I never hear it mentioned on this forum or elsewhere. Anyone have any opinions or thoughts on this model?
