Historic Celebrity Watches on the Block at Antiquorum’s April Auction
Antiquorum Auctioneers’ next Important Modern & Vintage Timepieces auction will be held April 10th in New York City. Among the many exceptional pieces offered for sale are several watches associated with celebrities from the worlds of sports and entertainment, including a rare Rolex owned by Charlie Chaplin and a Bulova owned by Joe DiMaggio.Fans of Hollywood’s silent film era will be drawn to one of the headliners of the sale, a left-handed Rolex once owned by the legendary “Little Tramp,” Charlie Chaplin. Not only is this timepiece an important piece of pop memorabilia due to its connection with Chaplin, one of the most iconic filmmakers and actors of all time; it is also significant because of its extreme rarity. One of the few left-handed models produced by Rolex during this period, it has a stainless steel case and a pristine enamel dial with a retailer signature by Asprey. It is accompanied by four vintage photos and various authenticating correspond
Rubber B for Audemars Piguet
Got this on my email last Friday looks like a very well made strap. Thought I'd share. I would like to see some customer pictures. Cheers! The New Rubber B for AP ROYAL OAK ROSE GOLD 41mm model which comes original on a leather/alligator strap is now available for purchase. This first phase release in the series is designed to complement the 41mm ROYAL OAK model that comes from Audemars Piguet on a factory alligator strap, fully integrating with the ROYAL OAK case and deployant buckle. 5146 strap size? Help and advice please..
Hello,I am looking to purchase my first new PP.I've been a Rolex man for several years but have now decided to up the stakes as it were. My budget is not large but mid 30k's is my limit.I very much like the 5146 models but due to location as working abroad I haven't been able to view in detail, only from pictures on websites and forums.(If anyone has 5146J 010 or 5146P pictures!)My main worry is that my wrist is 8 1/4. Always having adjustments and new links with Rolex. Can I ask any members how this is with PP? What is the maximum standard fitted size leather or precious metal PP fit on their timepieces.Do they adjust to that size or will they change to suit. I just like the plain tang fold over clasp which I beleive is with the 5146.Any advice will be much appreciated.Kind RegardsSimon
Any 5550P owners on TRF?
Hi all, I am currently saving towards a 5970G (I prefer the dial over the 5970P's black. Though I would much rather have a platinum to match the 3970P in the box, I just can't do the dial.) And the 5970J and 5970R don't really peak my love for PP perpetual chronos in white metal. This being said I was curious if anyone out there had a 5550P because, though it would delay a 5970G, the size, shape and thickness (or lack there of) really appeal to me and I loved the 5140P when I spent time with it (but don't care for the blue dial..though I love me some white/silver dials with blue straps..)Anywho if there are any 5550P owners out there if you could share your experience, photos are a must, and even perhaps a little video (because there are none). Thanks much! ''
14060 & 16610 on a 6" wrist
Just wondering for those who are knowledgeable on 5 digit sub bracelets. Do you guys know if they will fit a 6-6.25 wrist or 15.5 cm? I know that with the glidelock one can get the perfect fit. Just not sure how it works with the older style clasp. I also believe the date and no date have different clasps as well, especially in the 2000s if I'm correct?
