Bring a Loupe: The Two World-Class Watches From 1942 That Could Sell Cheap At Next Week's Christie's Geneva Auction (Relatively Speaking)
One of the questions I'm asked most by watch collectors is "what's next?" in the world of vintage watches. We've seen the likes of Universal Geneve and Heuer really climb over the last few years, and Rolex and Patek – well – you know about them already. The two answers that I have been most often giving over the last 18 months or so, at least when talking about high-end vintage watches, is complicated Vacheron and AP's. The quality, the design, and pure, unadulterated watchmaking make these two categories so fun to observe, and the rarity and value make them fantastic places to spend your hard-earned money, in particular relative to vintage Patek. Today I'll take a look at two watches, both for sale in next Monday's Christie's Geneva sale, that are simply divine vintage watches, and could in fact both sell at the low end of estimates simply because, well, they're not Pateks. Aquanaut date wheel sticking
Looking for an opinion here. The date wheel on my 5167 Aquanaut sticks from time to time and doesn't roll over fully. Making a minor adjustment to the date will fix it and it works fine most days. I'm not sure if there's a pattern but I think I've noticed this happening around the 17-18-19th of the month.Questions for the forum: 1. Is this a known issue with this movement? 2. I still have time on the warranty. Should I send it in? Only hesitating because Patek says it will be 5 months if work's needed.
Patek and his watch winders
Scatola del Tempo OEMed watchwinders for Patek. But nowadays Patek is using a Chinese company for this matter.Any comments about this from Patek owners here online?

My New 5726A
Just took delivery of this 5726A and couldn't be happier. Here's a quick wrist shot with my IPhone. Apologies for the poor picture quality. Cheers. RafaelImageUploadedByTapatalk1353074146.009677.jpg
