Chanel J12 And Audemars Piguet Make Watch Love
Still on my ceramic watch kick I thought it necessary to mention the young spawn of what happens when a designer meets a watch manufacture. I don't know if it was love at first sight, or how much courtship was involved, but the result was the best of both world. The Chanel J12 is a wildly popular watch design from everyone's famous favorite French design house Chanel. While not the first ceramic watch, Rados have been around much longer, Chanel showed the world that a ceramic watch could take a very classic look and construct it a non-metallic shiny black compound. Audemars Piguet on the other hand needs little introduction to most. Still a family owned company, but by no means small, they produced almost 28,000 luxury watches last year.Frankly speaking, Audemars Piguet does not need Chanel to enhance to look of their line, as they make some of the more beautiful watches available. Hi allI'm looking to place an order for the new Blue dial 15450 but I don't have any AP relationships so don't fancy my chances of being very successful. I've put my name down with one AD but they wouldn't take a deposit which strengthens my view that I am going to get shunted down the list as they prioritise the customers they know.Anyone on here able (and willing) to help?Cheers, Vince

So a forum member recently bought a hard to find Rolex watch. I don't believe he was on an the waiting list, but just happened to mention he is interested in this model when he was buying another watch in that dealer. I guess shortly after, the dealer got one, called him, and he got the watch.I know the dealer and am on the waiting list for the watch, in a different color. So I called the dealer to confirm if there is a long wait list for that color dial. They said yes. I think at least a couple of people. They also mentioned if the people on that list turn down the opportunity, they will start calling people on the other list. I did not get a call, which I am not surprised, since I am not at the top spot. This just shows one thing. Even if you are on the very top spot! you still may not get the next watch. You need to have connection.....
