Bell & Ross Sets Records at Paris Auction
French auction house Artcurial recently held a sale of exceptional aeronautical objects. The auction, titled Aeronautics, the Air and Space Conquest, took place at the prestigious Hotel Dassault in Paris. Among the hundreds of items featured in the sale, aeronautic enthusiasts were pleased to discover three Bell & Ross watches, which sold well above their original retail prices. Find the sale results inside. The three lots were the Pilot Aronaval Sapphire, produced in 2007 in a limited edition of 150 pieces, and two BR03 Aviation Type timepieces, one in steel, the other in carbon. The latter two were released in 2009, with each version limited to 250 pieces. These special models were produced at the request of the French Naval Aviation Force and the French Air Force, with each timepiece displaying the emblem of its respective unit. As these piece were not offered to the general public but were available exclusively to members of these elite forces, the three watches generated mu
The Jaquet Droz Only Watch ’09
The Jaquet Droz Only Watch ’09, a unique Grande Seconde, combines a Grand Feu enamelled dial created using an 18th century technique with a case made of 21st century high tech ceramic. This unique timepiece proudly displays a rare red dial – red being the color of Monaco, the home of Only Watch. Creating the red dial required all the know-how of the most skilled craftsmen. An ivory colored enamel dial needs about ten layers to achieve the right color, and each layer must be fired at 800. Black requires 15 layers and 15 firings, and blue 19. Red needs 22 layers. Each layer requires a new firing, and each firing creates the risk of breakage, bubbling, or both.Manuel Emch, CEO of Jaquet Droz, says it took the company 6 years to find a way to stabilize the red dial. “It is the first time we have created a completely red enameled dial and, given the complexity, it is probably the last, says Mr. Emch with a smile.Only Watch is an auction held every two years in Monaco.
What are my options I got rubber fever
I currently can't take off my AP diver! I wear the watch daily and love the rubber strap even more than the bracelet on my Royal Oak Chronograph 39mm. It got me thinking can I replace the bracelet on my ROC and put a rubber strap similar to my Diver on it even if its smaller due to the mm difference. What are my options because I love the ROC I just am hooked on the rubber strap from my diver it fits me like a glove. I would prefer to stay with the AP brand rubber band if possible. Thanks
2002 Schumacher Racing Real?
Any thoughts on this Ebay Schummie? Can anything tell me it is a fake or real? The seller doesn't have box and paper. He seems to be some sort of coins dealer.Any signs of Counterfeit? Are there even enough demand for these to see fakes on the market?
Bracelet tool
A question for the wise.... will this item allow me to remove a combination of bracelets? I currently have Rolex, Tudor, Tag and Omega.https://.amazon.es/OFFICIAL-GENEV...fficial+GenevaOr do I need to buy this specific Rolex indicated tool?https://.amazon.es/herramientas-c...fficial+GenevaI see the pin sizes are different 1.1mm versus 1.08mm in the Rolex specific, is the tolerance that tight that I should order the Rolex specific? Or will the first item give me flexibility? Frustratingly I don't see to be able to find somewhere I can buy additional pins for the first tool. Thanks in advance for any help.
