De Bethune DB25 Special Edition for Only Watch
What is a watch, if not a machine to measure the flow of time? A kind of speed counter for the flux of an energy of which we know almost nothing, except that it exists and that it is carrying us somewhere. Find complete details, along with stunning wallpaper, for this De Bethune machine inside. What is absolute speed, if not that of light, that beyond which there is no more time, nor space, nor perhaps even energy? The logical conclusion is that any approach to watchmaking is in fact a reflection on infinity as we are able to admire it without actually comprehending it: it is an emotion born of the dizzying sensation stemming from a reality that transcends our grasp. And this is where a deliberately chosen aesthetic option must express a philosophical choice. With this DB25 specially created for Only Watch, De Bethune has chosen light as the medium from which to sculpt its conception of the world, of space, and of time. The light of a nocturnal sky studded with gold and diamonds:
ROC 39mm Dial Swap?
Hi Everyone, I am considering doing a dial swap on my ROC 39mm from my panda dial to a blue dial. I couldn't find much information on process nor any real life pictures of the blue dial. Has anyone had any experience with this and any pictures?
New Watch, Planet Ocean (not yet, research phase)
My primary wearer is a SubC, I'm looking to add a watch that has a rubber strap, and after going through a bunch of brands (IWC, Panerai, Breitling), I think I've come to the conclusion that I want an Omega. The Planet Ocean is my leading contender and there are some decent deals out there. I'm torn between the 43.5 & 45.5 as well as chronograph/no chronograph. The watch won't be daily, maybe 1-2x a week, and used for beach/pool/vacation as well.I like these in no particular order:https://.omegawatches/watches...3232465101005/https://.omegawatches/watches...1532442101001/https://.omegawatches/watches...1533442101001/https://.omegawatches/watches...1532465101001/I think the first one listed is an older model and on the older 9300 movement? I've been doing as much reading as I can, but any Omega experts want to educate me or weigh in with an opinion, it would be much appreciated!Cheers!
Omega Speedmaster Racing 40 mm with Caliber 3330
Thoughts? I want a nice Chronograph, love Omega, and with column wheel movement in the 3330, seems like a great deal. Looking at white dial. Any experiences with this model.Runs in the mid 3K range, rather than 6k range for the Caliber 9300 models.Appreciate anyone's thoughts or comments while I contemplate another needless but beautiful watch purchase . . ..
Blue brothers
Incoming!!! What can I say I'm a sucker for the Nautilus blue! Wasn't bonding enough with my WG Sub so off it went to another home. Came across this double sealed 5980/1A and finally realized a dream of mine. Almost went with a black dial 5980 but just can't get enough of that mesmerizing blue. My wife says it's just like the other one but I'm convinced they are different enough. What do you think--will they be happy together?Haven't figured out how to add comments between pics but I've included a pic just after cutting the seals, some wrist shots and a group family pic. I've also recently added a VC Overseas Chrono. Haven't sized it yet, as I'm planning to put it on black rubber strap with a deployant. Not sure why the VC OS doesn't get much love as it's quite the value at current discounts. IMO it's one of the best options available in top tier makers that have a rubber strap. Would appreciate opinions on this one.
