Introducing The Zenith Academy Christophe Colomb Hurricane Grand Voyage II
Last year, Zenith released the original Academy Christophe Colomb Hurricane Grand Voyage, an exceptionally complex watch that puts a fuse and chain constant force mechanism and a unique Gravity Control module on full display. This year, Zenith is following up on that watch with a sequel, and this one adds ornate decoration and artistry to the mix in honor of Christopher Columbus, for whom the watch is named. There's a lot to take in here, so let's take a closer look at each component. 2 OF 5 The Grand Voyage?uses the same 45 mm case as last year's model, with a thickness that goes from 14.8 mm to 21.8 mm at the domed sapphire crystal. Unlike the original, the new Voyage II adds artistic?embellishments to both the dial side and the display back. RB2 Question
In doing some research on the Ti model, I came across a few posts (I cant find the thread again to be able to directly post in there) that seemed to suggest that the pusher design and crown on this model can be a bit uncomfortable, particularly when compared to the redesigned GP and/or Schumacher.Could anyone comment on the veracity of this concern, particularly if you happened to have experience across these three pieces?thanks!
Not again
Hi all,Anyone had a sticking date issue twice? Just noticed this today. Had the same thing happened last year and it was fixed by Patek. 3rd issue with 2 Pateks. I'm going to bring it to my AD this weekend. Starting to lose faith in this brand.
Congrats!
In an endless sea of PANERAI SEs, it can sometimes be pretty hard to choose what your first SE may look like. Yes, I want that elusive 382 and while the pull of 368 remains strong, the only other in my wish list had been the Radiomir 449 ever since it was announced. What really surprised me was the relatively dull response to 449, contributed largely by the OP's strange marketing behavior [ release of 425 ]. While 425 is surely more eye-popping, it takes a little time on the wrist to actually appreciate the understated elegance of 449 with the cleanest dial conceivable and those mesmerizing blue hands. It took me a while to unbox this beauty .. I was in Hawaii when the watch landed and on return, was swamped with job interviews et al. So, all these weeks, the 449 just sat there as I sorted my life out. Fast forward a few weeks, life is good once more and I thought .. What The Heck !! Time to Unwrap and Wear The Heck Out of This One. With a 47mm Luminor, Submersible and Radiomir in
