Marcello C. Nettuno Bi-Color Chronograph Watch
You don't see combinations like this very often. Here, German Marcello C. has fitted their Nettuno Chronograph watch with a PVD black bezel and PVD black pushers and crown, against a stainless steel case. I think it is a very attractive combo. The look results in sort of a two-tone look that is quite popular these days. It makes the watch very noticeable as well - being more "striking" than models without the color combo. This is the first ever use of PVD in the Nettuno watch collection that I am aware of as well. You will notice of course that there are "mirror" image watches here. As one of the Nettuno Bi-Color Chronograph watches has a steel case with black pushers and bezel, the other version has a PVD black case with steel pushers and a steel bezel. Pretty cool right? Further, the PVD cased version comes with a totally PVD coated bracelet that ought to be really nice. This is one of the best diver's style bracelets on the market that I've experienced, and I'd love to experience it
Assembling an entire Omega SMP Cal 1128 (OFREI)
Hello all,I had been thinking about buying an entire parts set and find a reputable watchmaker to assemble a SMP with the Cal 1128 movement. I see a lot of this pre-owned model for sale on various watch boards for $1900-$2500. However, I thought that doing it this way gives me a basically brand new watch for less than $2K. OFREI has all the parts, btw.Doing it this way makes sense to me unless of course I come across a used one in great shape for under $2K. If anyone on here knows one for sale, pls PM me, I'd appreciate it.Has anyone done this before? (This model or other)Do you know/recommend a watchmaker that will be willing to assemble the watch?Any and all info/warning/good to know/don't do it+why would be much appreciated.Kind regards.-JD

Aquanaut....all dressed up!
Good morning all here at TRF! Since buying my Aquanaut 5167 about a year ago, it has been on my wrist almost every day. As much as I love the piece, every so often I just need a change. So, recently I had the opportunity to purchase the stainless steel band that accompanies the Aquanaut. I have always enjoyed the look and, most of all, comfort that the Patek tropical strap provides. My one issue was that I wear a suit & tie almost every day and the rubber look just made the Aquanaut feel a little out of place with the rest of the wardrobe. So I thought, why not try it with the SS bracelet! So, here it is! I must say I absolutely love it! It changes the look from casual to a little more elegant while still keeping to its sporty nature, but now very well suited to be worn with anything from jeans and a t-shirt to a suit and tie. I tip my hat to Patek on the construction of the bracelet. Normally bracelets can pull those little hairs on your wrist and make some noise as the l
