Bremont Supermarine 500 Watch: First Diver For Young Brand
Emerging British luxury watch maker Bremont recently announced their first diver's watch. This is an important occasion for each active' watch brand. Having at least one solid diving watch is a positional and status signifier. Sort of like saying that the company is not serious about its theme unless it has a functional diving watch. Though the brand is based in England, all watches are produced in their atelier in Biel-Bienne Switzerland. While I feel that some of the current Bremont watches are bland looking (though pleasing and functional), the new Supermarine 500 does not come across that way. Sometimes you want a diving watch to be more conservative looking and focus on doing its job well rather than being too avant garde. That is why diving watches are important the watch lover community evaluates them to see how well a given watch maker is able to represent the genre.Bremont focuses on flying and aviator inspired watch designs, having a diving watch that fits into that look is
The most impulsive buy yet....
Walked into a watch store this morning and came out half hour later with this on my wrist.
Buying an AP in Tokyo?
Hey all. Newly joined member as I have been stuck looking for information. I'm vacationing in Tokyo (I'm from Toronto) for a few days, and I've been looking around for new or gently used preown APs. I have to say, Tokyo is pretty amazing in terms of selection!I was just inside the AP boutique shop in Ginza, and was quoted 2400000 yen for the ROC SS. They have them in black, white, or blue dial!As a reference, used goes for 2000000 yen here. I find it interesting from the sales rep that there's no room for negotiation, as another AP AD (best watches in Shinjuku) was ready to negotiate. I was hoping members on this board can assist me with the pricing in Europe, US and Canada with the 2016 price for this? I tried searching and couldn't find the info. Or another option is to go with DavidSW, but am I losing anything from not buying from an AD?Thank you!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Opinions about PAM 320
HelloI'm just about to pull the trigger on a PAM 320. I already had it on my wrist for a testdrive, together with a PAM 90 and 233. The 233 is too expensive, the look of the 90 too shiny for my taste. I love the 1950 brushed case, the weight, the clean dial, the slightly domed crystal. I think the 320 is a great watch for business and off work. What do you guys think about the 320? Any good reasons for not buying it?Thanks for your opinions!
Rolex AD price-forming policies
Hi,I am curious whether there is a rule/obligation for all authorized Rolex/Tudor ADs to sell the watches at the official MSRP lists? Can the ADs profit by adding extra on top these prices? In case this is a normal practice, let me know. I have the feeling that it is not, but I am not certain.A local EU AD just told me prices over the phone which are approx 10% more than the list price. Could that be a mistake?ThanksSent from my MI 5 using Tapatalk
