One holy grails vs 2 grails
Wanted some of your opinion especially Neil's After acquiring my first AP the grey elephant I've been loving it soo much that I rarely wear my GMT II 2 tone which use to have a lot of wrist time now I'm graduating soon and I'll be getting one last watch before enter my next chapter. I've made up my mind that I want a rose gold watch to me nothing beats that. As much as I love the greytheme roo I do not want anywatch other watch that scratches this easily again. So even though I love the rg roc sooo much I wouldnt want a watch that i'll have to worry too much too much when wearing so my choices goes down to If I end up getting the rolex i'll trade it with my gmt 2 tone which will end left with a hulk, elephant, and gold rolex. If I go AP i will trade my AP and gmt 2 tone and left with a hulk - 26401or - corum bubble roulette and few other watches what would be your choices? Here is my elephant and hulk i really love the full rg daytona too but a polished bezel is the problem for me Se
Anyone Disappointed by Nesbit's
Hello all. New member here.Has anyone been disappointed by Nesbit's in Seattle?I just received my SMP back from service and was a little disappointed by the refinishing. I know there's controversy over refinishing. To polish or not to polish, that is the question. I'm not talking about a vintage sword hand 300. This is a 2220.80 Co-Axial SMP.I live in the NE area and after reading several posts on different sites about the terrible service from Omega in NJ, and reading many good things about Nesbit's in WA, I decided to ship my SMP across the country.I cannot say enough about the customer service. Jan is wonderful! She took the time answers all of my emails and questions.I purchased the timepiece second hand and although it had a pedigree I questioned the authenticity of the date wheel. Nesbit's authenticated the date wheel, and they still replaced it at no additional cost. That my friends is customer service!Herein lies my issue. The refinishing or lack thereof was quite disappointing
Planet Ocean bezel play / feels flimsy - is this normal?
Hi folks: I've recently bought an older planet ocean chrono. It's from 2006, reference 2150.50. Love the watch, overall looks really nice and runs great. However when I compare it with my Rolex subc I find the PO bezel feels quite loose (yes I understand it's an aluminium insert) . The click is smoother, but when you touch the bezel gently there's some play. The bezel clicks fine and lines up fine otherwise. Is this expected ? Other watch I've owned is Tudor blackbay and a Seiko tuna and the bezel action feels quite tight and firm on those.I also noticed the bracelet is much nicer on the Rolex with much better tolerance and less play.Cheers
bullhead rallye dial on custom designed olangapo rally band....
love the bullhead....i got it when i saw how a daytona looked on my wrist....nuff said.....however, the omega band is a bit light, not substantial enough and too short really for my 8 wrists....(i wonder if wrist sizes correlate to....oh never mind.... :) ) so.....jaffy jurado at olongapo bands in the phillipines made my design of this custom band for the bullhead....and I'm stoked with the results....id appreciate others opinion of this also...the bullhead is a heavy watch, which i like, and this band controls it....i find i like a bit of looseness, but not spinning around my wrist and i like to adjust depending on my wrist circumference variations....
Between Aquanaut 5167 on SS bracelet or on Rubber - which one would be your choice?
dear community, another question for you guys - sorry for so many so far I am really drifting towards this fantastic brand, and already have the Nautilus 5980/1A. Also, I'm in the hunt and near acquiring a 5726 as well. I am thinking of another piece in sequence -- the Aquanaut 5167. That would fill my craving about sporty PPs. Now, I'm willing to hear from you guys your opinions about the two versions of 5167 - Rubber or SS bracelet. Your comments and ideas will be very much appreciated Thanks in advance!
