Stopped over in Curacao on a recent cruise, and spent a good bit of time in the local AP dealer there, trying on various RO and ROO models.Wow! Was really taken by the design and look of these watches, the level of detail and workmanship is first rate. I had not spend any significant time with AP prior to this trip. My DW really fell for the 47mm lady's offshore (that's gonna cost me down the road! ).The sales person who attended us was very nice, if not 100% knowledgeable about the watches. She stayed with us for more than an hour, and gave us a hardcover AP book when we finally left - even though she knew the prospects of an immediate sale were slim - our ship was leaving in a couple of hours.Anyway - what's holding me back at this point is the fact that I'm pretty happy with my Rolex sports models (the SubC gets most of the wrist time - best all-around watch I've ever owned). Fluted bezel
Hi interested in getting a date just 41. Just wandering how well the gold fluted bezel holds up. Yes I know it depends on what I'm wearing it for and if I baby it or not, but just wandered if they are easy to ding, or dent. Thanks

SD43 Finally Incoming!!!
I put my name on the list in July of last year. Got the call form my AD that my it had arrived while on vacation in Europe. Part of my vacation was in Geneva on a watch binge.. The SS Rolex inventory in Paris and Geneva was just as bad if not worse than here in the US. I was offered a white dial SS Skydweller in Courchevel, but I declined as I am waiting for a blue dial from my AD. Well, the SD 43 is finally at home and I'm thrilled. It's going to make a great daily for me.
