I Have a G Series Rubber Clad on the Way, Where to Buy New Strap? Pics Once its Here
I have a Rubber Clad on the way. Hopefully this time it will be authentic (for those of you that saw my last post and thanks again for pointing out the replica through the pictures). Pictures will follow once it's here, hopefully today or tomorrow. The band was replaced with a Hornback strap but it shows wear near the mounting pins on one side. Where is a good place to pick up a new or used in good condition authentic AP (possibly hornback again) strap for a somewhat reasonable cost?
AP Number 2 and 3!!!!
So I recently caught the bug really, really hard. After getting a Panda a few weeks ago, I completed the trifecta this week. I had a new AP ROC for a few weeks with a silver dial, but it didn't sing to me. I really liked the simplicity of the 15400 and the black dial, so I got myself one of these beautiesThen one of my all-time faves came up for sale (I am really a diving watch freak) in great shape at a price I could not resist soI am so pumped to have this trio in my stable. They all do it for me in their own way. All three are impeccably finished like only AP can do, but they are all different. The 15400 has an elegance, the perfect sports watch for a suit. The diver is a great weekend watch, but can also be dressed up because of the black dial. Lastly, the Panda is like nothing else that I have with a white dial with black and red accents. The question now is, when will I have time to wear them all along with the others I had in the stable before the APs. I guess one of the better
Finally got to try out the new PO's!
I swung by the Omega boutique in the area and had the chance to inspect and try on the new PO Cal 8500 42mm and the new PO Chrono 45mm. And for fun of course I had to give the Ploprof another try! :-)The PO 42mm was just a pleasure strap on. The size is very compelling for an everyday piece. The matte dial, sharp hands and new LQM bezel melts together very nicely. It feels very solid and high quality. My only nag was the lug width could be another mm or two, especially when you try it on the rubber strap (ever excellent one btw) it just appears a bit under-dimensioned and not in proportion. Overall, it is a very nice piece but it does scream Buy me!, at least in my book.Next up was the PO Chrono 45mm with the new Calibre 9300. It actually felt rather good on the wrist size-wise (I was wearing a SD 16600 for the last week). The design and look is just very attractive and it oozes quality. But the +19mm thickness is just a deal killer for me. It looks redonkelous when you view it in prof
Some Omega Speedmaster X-33 action shots.....
I must admit, this watch is still growing on me.I am sure some day a nice 2nd generation X-33 will join my modest ''bunch''... ;)
