A Look At The Real Military Watches On This Memorial Day
Today we are meant to remember those who fought and fell for America. In doing so, it is hard for me not to think about the endless stream of "military inspired" watches that we see advertised so much. The oodles of pilot watches, special forces watches, officer watches, the list just goes on really. Some of the most popular watches stem from this lineage, and yet I wonder who ever actually wore the watches that many of today's timepieces are based on.It is true that various elite special fighting units are given watches, or at least they have the option of purchasing them. This represents a very small number of soldiers, and I have no idea whether they actually wear the watches, are given the watches, or if it is just a cute marketing strategy. For those individuals, we should consider them lucky, but the trade off is that they are placed in a pretty high degree of danger.Brands like Luminox claim that special forces units wear their watches, but I am unsure of this accuracy. Yellow rubber strap for 42mm
Hi guys,I'm looking for a yellow rubber strap for my Bumblebee...I guess there isn't one for the original folding clasp, but I have an extra diver (15703st) pin-buckle lock that I figured using. My AD is having a hard time understanding me.Can anyone give me the correct part nr, I guess there is one on the Yellow 15710ST diver that would fit my combo?
Saw the PO Good Planet today.. regretting gmtc purchase.
i bought a bnib gmtc this week. luckily i have not had a chance to size it yet. the reason i say lucky, is because i am seriously considering selling for a slight loss due to what i came across today at the mall xmas shopping. OMG, the freakin PO GOOD PLANET is freaking gorgeous. i've seen pics, but they do not do it justice at all. the blue is almost black, and the orange numbers are the perfect size..i'm telling you, i am not a huge fan of omega, especiall the PO's but this thing was amazing.that is all.. decisions, deciaions.
clasp to replace tang
Hi folks - I'm interested in obtaining a patek yellow gold deployment clasp for my 2006 5127j; it's currently on a tang buckle. I think the clasp would dress it up a bit. Is this something that can be ordered through an AD, and/or is there an after-market for this sort of thing? I've seen a couple on ebay, but I'm not a big fan of ebay for authentic items in general. I've seen too many fake rolexes in the watch-out forum. Any help is appreciated. thanks. andy
