How does AP age with scratches
i ve found that subs age rather nicelybut is it the case for RO as well? or is it more of a watch that should be pampered and worn only for certain occasions? Also, do you guys think its a MUST to get 15300 now since it is soon going to be discontinued? Many thanks from AP noob
Should i buy a Breitling?
Hi Guy's First post! I came here to learn about rolex sub, wanting the sub, i just love the sub so iconic to replace my omega seamaster everyday watch. thing is they are now sooooo expensive. even secound hand your looking at 4000 plus, which i've got but don't really want to spend on a watch, right now.So rather then spend 4k on a used watch i've found/offered a brand Breitling Colt 2 Automatic for $1700, black face. on the Pro 2 band.also planning on buying a leather strap and ruber band later on Only problem is no box but inc all paper work. is this good value the dealer says retail is $3995? is this BS?currently got a seamaster (white face) and a tudor oyster ( vintage) so Bret may make a nice addtion until my brand new sub turns up :) for my 40th birthday I'll be buying the sub for my 40th birthday in 3 years so...
What inventions are attributed to Patek Philippe?
Hello everyone, I am opening this thread because I must say that I know very little about Patek Philippe except that it's one of the horological manufactures with the most history and inventions. But it's hard to see the reality, for example one website said that the 1st automatic wristwatch came out in the 1940's, when it's verified that it came out in 1924 in 3 manufactures, Blancpain and 2 others which I don't remember, using the Harwood registered trademark. So I would like to know what important innovations were brought into the watch industry. To be honest I don't really understand the huge prices of Pateks, apart from some pieces in the Patek haute horlogerie section, which are beautiful and great technical achievements, I can't say that I find Patek watches very beautiful, for example their Nautilus models are far from finding grace in my eyes, compared to Blancpain fifty fathoms, Rolex submariners and sea dwellers, to name the most famous diving watches, they are much less appeal
it's been quite some time since I bought a Panerai ... But yesterday was the day :-)
and I love it
