A Week On The Wrist: The Ball Trainmaster Kelvin
A temperature gauge isn’t usually the first thing that comes to mind when thinking of high-end mechanical watches. It’s a complication relegated to digital fare and the screens of our phones. With the Trainmaster Kelvin, Ball brings the temperature readout back into mechanical territory, incorporating it into a heritage design complete with Swiss movement. The watch, so named for Irish Physicist and engineer Lord Kelvin, is meant to honor his work in absolute temperatures, but how well does it hold up as formal wear? We spent a week with the Trainmaster Kelvin in 18k gold to find out. 1 OF 31 Introduction Ball Watch may be unfamiliar to some readers, but their dramatic origins will shed some useful light on the “Official Standard” and “RR” signage as used throughout their current model range. Introducing the Breitling Transocean Chronograph 1915, A Mono-Pusher Column Wheel Chrono With New In
While we're die-hard vintage Breitling fans, we can recognize good development when we see it. A couple of months ago we reported on the Breitling Transocean Chronograph. That model hankered for its roots and introduced a vintage theme and a simpler two-register layout. The new Transocean Chronograph?1915 takes that development?a step further by introducing a new dial design, new case and, most importantly, a new manufacture caliber.?The Transocean 1915 starts with a 43 mm by?14.6 mm case in polished stainless steel. Two registers, arabic numerals and a push piece at 2 o'clock-many?HODINKEE readers should be thinking "montbrillant" (hence 1915, before Breitling introduced the second pusher in the '30s). 2 OF 3 Naturally, we could do without the date, but the narrow window doesn't seem to distract from the dial as much as date windows can. Moreover, maybe you're a pilot or som

Guys, can anyone please clarify the main differences between the calibres 2226 2326 & the 3126, as I see various models such as Safari, Navy, etc advertised with all of the above calibre, did they change throughout difference series such as E,F,G & H ? Also which is regarded as the most reliable?

Crown manipulation and dates
Well I didn't sleep much last night and very stressed that so soon after my GMT LN purchase I land at the end of the dreaded 30 day month. I was anticipating the need to make the proper adjustment and what that would entail. However, all the worry was for naught as I only had to pull the crown one stop, advance hour hand 24 hours and it was done in seconds. Now I can rest easy until February ends. That will be the real test!
