Patek Philippe Announces New GyromaxSi Balance and Updated Pulsomax Escapement; Endows Materials Chair
Patek Philippe today announced several developments related to the company’s efforts in the areas of advanced materials and their chronometric uses. A new GyromaxSi balance in Silinvar and gold will be coupled with a newly-updated and improved Pulsomax escapement and put to work in new limited edition reference 5550P perpetual calendar Advanced Research timepieces. In-Depth: Four Complicated Rolex Models From The Past That Deserve To Be Made Again, As Seen In The Phillips Geneva Watch Auction Two
The longer one spends around the watch collecting world, the more one tends to be interested in early watches – typically those that pre-date the "modern era." What I mean by that is there is a clear division with many brands – Rolex, Omega, and Heuer, for example, all began naming watch lines in the 1950s and '60s: the Submariner, Speedmaster, Carrera, et al. But, the watches that came before these great lines of horology existed are fascinating not only because of their relative obscurity, but also because of their purity in design. In this story, I examine four watches all available in Phillips' Geneva Watch Auction Two that were made by Rolex, and they're all complicated. But, none of them fall under the category of a Submariner, GMT, Daytona, or Explorer. And there is real beauty in that. Incoming: Omega Speedmaster 9300
Just picked up the Omega Speedmaster 9300, 44.25 mm. I have owned this watch before and liked the size and look as well as the 9300 movement. I have always found the Omega bracelets to be somewhat deficient when compared to Rolex but it is not a deal killer. As I have re-geared my collection lately I wanted a Panerai and an Omega. I purchased a Panerai 422 last week and decided to go all in and bought this Speedy. I now have Rolex, Tudor, Tag Heuer, Panerai, Omega and Seiko represented. I am going to wear this Omega on the metal for awhile but will put it on a NATO and leather soon enough.
Agua Sailing Bracelet
Anyone own this bracelet? Are there any photos of anyone wearing one? This a pretty nice bracelet that I'm thinking of getting. Can you order one from Omega directly?

Hi all,I am looking to purchase 5167a Aquanaut, but understand that it is in high demand. If I am looking to purchase a new one from a boutique, how long would the average wait time be (here in New York) and what would the price be?Thanks!
