Boegli Grand Opera Limited Edition Watch
Minute repeater watches sound the time back to you in a little song. Music box watches just play little songs. Each of these watches are nice in their own regard, but if you want to get a?musically?capable watch that is somewhat budget friendly (relatively speaking) then, a music box watch is the way to go. Music box watches are also comparatively much more rare, making the availability of a minute repeater seem much more easily obtainable by comparison.Swiss-based Boegli specializes in "musical watches". Each of the wrist and pocket watches that they produce contain traditional drum and pin music players. This new Grand Opera watch is their first ever round wrist watch. Their previous watches were only available in squarish rectangular cases. In addition to the new shape (which looks a lot more wearable than the angular models), the Grand Opera has a handy feature which allows you to start and stop the music playing (at will) by using a pusher. From Breitling to Rolex and Patek Philippe-5270R Inbound
I must say that George and I have been thru so many deals and this by far is the most satisfying. When the 5270 R was announced I called George and inquired about this announcement. He said I was the first one to call him and he said I could have the first shot at his first one when delivered. Some say first shot and mean unless a better offer comes in but he stuck to his word. This came in last week and I struggled with some trade possibilities. I do not wear my 5070 nor my 59801AR nearly as much as I had thought. Thru the year I looked at several 5970 R but decided to go with the Patek in-house movement and my name on the papers. So I decided to get the only piece which could replace my 5070. I highly recommend George and Govberg Jewelers and you will not regret doing business with that group! Thank you George and Govberg! Wrist shots tomorrow morning! You enablers!
Don't need a Patek but I want one ... Which one to get
So I'm 30 years old and I own a speedy pro that I wear on weekends and some evenings. I have a Non date sub that I wear to work ( as a doctor) and to meetings and things. I have a Reverso 976 with a white dial and leather strap as a dress watch. I thought I didn't need another watch but the Patek brand calls to me. I guess I have it engraved in my mind that I must own a patek someday. Its probably due to marketing ( and I'm a sucker for marketing)My query is - if I was to get a patek which one should I get and should I get is sooner or later? I want to have a iconic model. It was easy with the other brands as they all have one iconic piece that they are known for. It's not that easy with Patek. The Calatrava is obviously the easy choice and I love the 5227. I tried one on and it suited me well, but I couldn't think of when I would wear it. The nautilus has been in my mind since I was about 16. I iconic design but I think I have two good sports watches and I guess I don't need another.
