Photo Report: Hands-On With The New Bremont Supermarine 2000 (PLUS: See It In NYC Next Week With HOD
Last week we introduced you to the new mega-diver from the Brothers Bremont - the Supermarine 2000.? As the name suggests, this new 45mm diver is good to a whopping 2000 meters, meaning this bad boy is about as mean a diver as you could ask for.? We had one pass through the HODINKEE offices just this weekend so we thought we'd snap a few photos for you.? Enjoy. You can read more about the new S2000 right here. 2 OF 9 3 OF 9 4 OF 9 5 OF 9 6 OF 9 7 OF 9 8 OF 9 See the new Bremont S2000 in NYC next week.? 9 OF 9
26402 All ceramic 44mm
Hi All,Is the 26402 being discontinued?I don't think it is actually been out for long, any idea why they stop the production?I thought the 26402 is taking over the 26400AU?Thanks for input
Which RG?
Hi guys, I wanted to know what you think of these 2 models, the Nautilus 5711-1R, and the 15202OR?Both of them are gorgeous, but I am a real sucker for anything blue, and as much as the 5711 with the brown dial is a real stunner I think I may have a preference on this one for the AP, I understand that RG and brown are supposed to be the best combination, but RG and blue dial may have my preference. It's not a watch that I might be getting anytime soon, but it is on my radar. What would be your choice, considering if they were at the same price? The Patek is supposed to be a little more expensive than the AP but not by far. Here are 2 pics to help you decide which one you prefer. By the way on pics from the AP site it looks very very red but as I understand in real life it's much softer and rose instead of red as like shown on pics. Also the case back is probably more beautiful on the AP than the Patek…Thanks for your replies 5711_1R_001.pngjumbo RG.jpg
Interesting day in Geneva visiting AP and PP...some interesting prices as well
Firstly, I would like to give a quick shout out to JorgeCCW and thank him for his thread Conversion from hoarding all brands to Patek which has influenced me enormously, and without which I probably wouldn't have gone on this little trip.Secondly, for the sake of simplicity I have put all figures into US$ at today's spot rates:$1 = 0.804 Euros$1 = 0.966 CHF (Swiss Francs)************************************************** ***************************Today I spent the day in Geneva, which for me is about a 2 hour drive from home. I have been familiar with the city for years and know my way around....although as far as watches are concerned up until now my interest was exclusively in Rolex. It was never my idea to return home with a new watch....not today anyway.....more a case of deciding what I want next. FYI, I was fairly well dressed and wearing my WG Day-Date.Simply to give myself a warm-up I stopped first at Montres Prestige at the Kempinski Hotel. It is supposedly an Audemars Pig
How to get to try on blue Nautilus?
Greetings,The Nautilus (either 5711 or 5712) is my grail watch, but despite visiting many ADs, I've ever been able to find one to try on. Every AD in my area tells me the wait time is months or years for a blue Nautilus of any kind (particularly the 5711), that you must put a 100% deposit of full MSRP down for them to even consider asking to get one in (and no guarantee it'll arrive in any timeframe short of years), and that there's no way they'd ever get one in stock for people to try on.I'd really rather not spend that kind of money without even seeing the watch in person, particularly if I don't know when (if ever) it will come in. Does anyone have any suggestions of how I might get a chance to handle one? Has anyone had success at an AD in the Northeast US? Any help would be appreciated.
