Introducing: The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Double Balance Wheel Openworked Reference 15407
The openworked Royal Oak has been around for years, but the originator of this line could be 2010's 15305. Then, we saw in 2012 and 2014 respectively, the traditional 39 mm Jumbo get "openworked" in platinum and rose gold. Now, we see the current 41 mm Royal Oak, reference 15400 openworked for the first time, but with a brand new double-balance wheel escapement that is a world's first! 1 OF 4 Now AP has produced a few very high-end watches in the past that used two balance springs, but not two balance wheels. They include the Millenary Quadriennium and Millenary Minute Repeater with AP Escapement. The thinking here is that having two balance wheels creates an oscillator with more mass, ensuring great stability – why, for example, you see huge oscillators in marine chronometers. In previous watches, the two balance springs would counteract the effects of gravity on the balance itself. Basically whenever the balance spring contracts, it tends to push
Breitling premier 777 chronograph info?
Hello all. I am in the market for a chronograph and one of the sellers I like is offering a vintage rose gold breitling 777 premier 2 register Chrono at 36 mm. I do not know the line but was immediately attracted to it. Anywhere I can find some info about this model, vintage breitling in general, things I should look out for, etc? My Wedding Gift!
So my amazing fiance decided that she wanted to get me an early wedding gift, or late engagement gift, I don't really know and don't really care! All I know is that she did GREAT!! (or I did great? )
Help ...... My poor 441 !
Is now stuck on a 12 week (minimum) journey to the Panerai factory in Switzerland I went to change the strap on my Ceramica GMT 441 and all was going well after switching over the Tang buckle and removing the leather strap . It was upon trying to attach the rubber strap that I realized that the threads on the pins weren't catching in the ceramic case . Had a closer look and realized the pins had no threads , then realized that the thread portion of both pins broke off inside the ceramic case . Now it has to go on a 12 week trip to the factory in Switzerland . And they say that the two year warranty only covers the movement and that if it's deemed NOT to be a defect , that I might have to pay for the repair or the cost to replace the case . Has anyone had this happen to them ? Any thoughts or advice ?Thanks , Dan
TT Bluesy why so popular?
I am just curious why the TT Bluesy sub is so much more popular then the TT black face(which I happen to own. I really like the blue face and bezel, but I find it to be a little too flashy for me. As a rule I generally like. Lack face watches except for the Rolex green as green is my favorite color. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
