Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Rubens Barrichello II Watch Available On James List
From a design standpoint I consider this watch to be the pre-cursor of the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Survivor watch. Look at the two watches adn you will agree that this Rubens Barrichello II limited edition watch has design cues that made their way into the Surviror watch a few years late. Not exactly the same looks, but part of the same breed. These include the hands, dial design, light vertical texturing (see the strap links here) as well as the crown and pusher design. The pictured watch was part way "there" and then Audemars Piguet just went the distance with the Survivor. The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Rubens Barrichello II watch was made in honor of the namesake Brazilian Formula 1 race car driver. For some reason Brazilian race car drivers seems to be the subject of many high end sport watches from not only Audemars Piguet, but also other brands such as Hublot and Richard Mille - can't say that I know why.The watch was offered back in 2006 in three limited vers
1st AP question.. 15300 blue dial VS ROC panda dial?
Hi allIt's me again, now I'm very close to get my first.I was waiting for the ROC panda dial and about to get it next week but then the 15300 deal pop up!I know that at the end of the day it's really is up to me yet I would be appreciate any input from you all.I really like the 39mm Royal Oak case.I love the sporty look of the ROC.On the other hand, the classic yet some how sporty of the 15300 is also quite nice and more importand it's discontinued already which mean it will be harder to get later on...Which one would you choose?Thank you in advance :thumbup:Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
Royal Oak 15300 or 15400?
Hi allTossing up between a used 15300 or a brand new 15400. Obviously the main difference being the price point. It will be my first AP, and am quite excited about it. In my opinion this is where I see it:15300- perhaps a less comfortable bracelet fit due to older style clasp?- second hand looks a bit weird+ 39mm size would probably suit me better+ like the 'AP' at 12 o'clock+ case size good proportion to the movement size15400- case too large for the small movement?+ same colour date window+ new improved clasp+ new watch+ improved second handsWhat other differences do you see?Which would you pick?Unfortunately I have not been able to try the both of them on as they arent that easy to find at ADs hereThanks
