Omega Co-Axial Regulating Wrench
I am in a quandary and I am seeking some help.I have my Planet Ocean chronograph with my watchmaker in Indiana, the Rolex AD in KoKoMo.My watch is keeping good time, but it is consistently 4 seconds fast per day, which is well within COSC specs, but still not as close as I'd like. One of my watchmaker's staff has attended the Omega training on the co-axial movements, but he has never received the regulating wrench as promised. Swatch Group have said they're out of stock in the US, but this is odd because O Frei apparently has them in stock.Does anyone have access to one of these wrenches that my watchmaker could use for about 20 minutes, which would be long enough to get the slack out of my watch?I know this is an odd request, but I really don't want the watch back in my hands until the regulation has been completed.By the way, I spoke to Hyde Park Jewellers in Denver, the AD that sold the watch originally, and they say they wouldn't bother to iron out those last few seconds. Two New Watches & Some Strap Changes
Long awaited but worth it (sorry about the photo quality)...
Should I buy this Patek 5120G?
I've been looking for a slim dress watch and narrowed it down to the 5120G, which unfortunately is discontinued. I prefer 2 hands and micro rotor over the current 3 hands/manual 5119.Was about to commit until the seller dropped this bomb. Not sure if I'm just unrealistic to expect an unpolished 5120 (but who wears a dress watch daily to warrant a polish ), but 14 years is old. The lugs also don't look sharp at all.The 5119 is now only $17480 list, so what do you all feel about $13500 for this 5120? Full set with papers. From seller:This watch has been refinished, and it looks great. It was originally purchased in 2003. We do not have any service records for it, but it was fully tested/inspected by our watchmakers and deemed to be in proper working order.
Incoming: Tudor Heritage Black Bay
Following an enjoyable train trip into Melbourne yesterday, I immediately headed into Collins Street where I picked up my new Tudor Heritage Black Bay. I've not owned a Tudor before but love it so far. It is heavier than my other older watch, but I'm pretty sure I will soon get used to wearing it. Also wanted to say how much I enjoy this forum and in particular appreciate members posts.
