Blu Galaxy Watch: Pretty Little Cosmos
Isn't this a pretty looking watch? Pretty in the way a man can wear it and not feel weird. Before you start reading this article, please start the video below. You can then get in the "cosmic mood" to read about this watch. As KC Tay mentioned in regard to two of the images above that he took located on Horomundi, this is a notoriously difficult watch to photograph. Why? Because the beauty comes from the spectacular array of sparkles that comes from the galaxy looking dial of this correctly named Blu Galaxy watch, and these are simply hard to get on camera. This is one of Blu's first watches and was released in 2000.The watch dial is the major attraction and is constructed from something called Aventurine, which is a type of glass made with small copper particles inside. The copper particles inside of the man-made glass provide the incredible glitter look. Here is a bit about Aventurine directly from Blu. Buying my first Pam.... A 005
I'm taking the plunge and going to buy my first new Panerai...a Pam005. I'm frugal and looking for a good deal. I know a lot of you will say that finding one in stock from an AD is a good deal in itself, but I'm wondering what kind of discount I should expect. The one I've located has been quoted to be for $4900, that's $500 off of the $5400 retail price. Is this a good price for a BNIB from a dealer? Any insight is much appreciated! Thanks!
How accurate is your Rolex?
I obsessively track the time on my 16710 Pepsi GMT. Over the past year it's averaged losing around 1-2 seconds/day. Over the past month it's lost a total of 6 seconds. Pretty incredible. The 3185 movement is amazing!Who else has amazing accuracy Rolex stories??
Happy St. Patrick's Day Incoming!
Hey all, just wanted to share my recent story. I've always been into vintage watches and the stories behind them - who did the watch belong to? Where did they buy it, and why? Was it to celebrate something, or to use as a tool? For this reason I've really been attracted to vintage watches with lots of history.Well, last week I was in Colombia on my honeymoon and my wife bought me a wedding gift down there that I'm just crazy about. I'm not usually a modern watch fan but when we went to look, this watch just fit. The more I wear it the more I realize how perfect it is for me. Size is spot on - it has everything I need and nothing I don't. Plus, green is my favorite color... I love the playful orange pips and how it doesn't take itself too seriously. It reminds me of Michaelangelo, who everybody knows was the best ninja turtle by far. Plus, it's functional - my vintage pieces are great but it's nice to have something with working lume that I know is just built like a tank. One day I can h
