Magrette Kaitiaki & Kai Kaha Engraved Masculine Watches
The Magrette saga continues with two new watches. These new pieces serve a very specific purpose. They offer the beauty of Magrette's hand-done Maori style engraving, but in a more subtle manner. Allowing most of the visible PVD black case to be masculine and strong in appearance. Each comes in a limited edition set of just 25 pieces. There is just one master engraver responsible for each piece. The Kaitiaka and Kai Kaha watches are very similar, each even being the same price. The difference is the caseback style and design. The Magrette Kia Kaha (meaning "be strong") has a solid steel caseback with a beautiful engraving on its polished surface. The design is masculine, with a strong looking figurine worthy of the title of the piece. Each caseback of course is hand-engraved. Here, the engraving is known only to the wearer. Not only can they appreciate it each time they put on and remove the watch, but they can impress fans of the watch, when they take it off and hand it to them for ins
Louis Vuitton Tambour Spin Time GMT Watch
Oh Louis, how you tease us. Going back and forth between fascinating watch releases and not quite innovating enough for most watch heads to love you. I however have been a fan since the days when Tambour was a fresh name. Now the Tambour is the mainstay model for the brand, that is in need of more goods. In such an economy when brand name rules over brand value, Louis Vuitton could really be taking the Cartier route and upping their game. With the LVMH family of brands to help (such as Tag Heuer, Hublot, and Zenith), it could be a powerhouse high-end fashion watch brand. Until that day comes (or never does) we have to look at these quite rare creations from afar. My close interest with Louis Vuitton started with the Tambour Diver watch, a beautiful piece that really needs to be on more wrists (including my own). Though its high price and utter rarity on the used market hasn't made it part of my collection yet. Though if I really wanted, I could get it from Louis Vuitton's website for $

Seeking Your Thoughts
About to buy my first Rolex!I am considering a sub (silver bracelet/black face), explorer I, and datejust (oyster bracelet with either blue or black face with stick markers). It would be a daily wearer. I wear suits quite a bit (trimmer cut/narrow lapel look) and on the weekends either athleisure wear or jeans/Black v-neck tees. I wear a lot of navy, grey and black with an occasional pop of color. I have a 7 inch wrist and would never make it as a bouncer. I'm old enough to know better but young enough to occasionally ignore that advice and do it anyway. Budget would be high 5s to low 8s. Of course anything cheaper would but great and I could probably justify a bit more for the right deal. I would hope in all instances to get box, papers, and watch in fairly great shape. I like the sub because it is such an icon and it speaks to me. And I dive. But I'm not sure I want a diver for a daily wear in the office. I have a Vostok Amphibia that I dive with already and if that breaks o
