Buying vintage
Hi guys,I'm interested in a vintage piece, probably a Seamaster from the '50's or '60's. Can any of you recommend known sites for definite authenticity? I came across this site in the UK that looks and sounds great - has anyone used it?.vintage-watches-collection/Many thanks
New Ceramic SMP 300 in storage
Hi guys, bit of advice if you would kindly oblige. So my wife-to-be has bought me my first mechanical watch, the new ceramic SMP 300 in black. I love it, and was kinda surprised in the AD when she told him to put the Bond quartz back and get the one she knew I really wanted. The problem is it is a wedding present from her to me but the wedding is not until Nov, yet another reason to be excited. However it is to be kept in the safe until the big day, with the exception of the engagement shoot. My question relates to if I should be doing anything to keep it ok whilst it is in storage, and indeed if I should manually wind it on the day or wear it the day before.CheersCJ
This place is not healthy!
This place enables beyond reason - teaser for an incoming thread in the near future. TRF you have not helped me with my expendable income, thank you in advance.
Incoming: BLNR, and photos of AD stock
Just picked up my BLNR from the AD with them removing stickers per Rolex according to them. I’ve been on their waitlist since the first week of December. No discount as to be expected but they gave me a box of chocolates lol. As for the stock in the store, not much in terms of SS models and the waitlist for the DaytonaC is 5 years :/
Trade up to Sub or go for Explorer?
Hi all,I am relatively new to watches and love this forum. My only piece is the Black Bay Black ETA, which I wear 24/7. As much as I like it, the no date Sub does call to me. I've considered selling the BB and using proceeds toward a Sub, but also have considered keeping BB and buying Explorer, which is my other favourite Rolex. While I fancy myself as a one watch guy, the BB and Explorer combo would give me two different looks vs having the diver look everyday if Sub was my only watch. I dress casual everyday. Wear a suit a handful of times all year. Any opinions welcome! Thanks to a great group of enthusiasts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
