Welcome back to an watches-dealer original series, where we discuss important stores that sell watches all over the world. Each store we profile has an interesting story to tell about where they operate and who they sell to. Whether you buy watches from brick and mortar retailers or prefer to buy watches online, these are the stores that help shape our watch culture around the globe. There is a long list of stores to cover, but if there is a retail location in your favorite city that we simply can't miss, let us know in the comments below.Where to buy watches in Aspen, Colorado? You might expect a watch store which carries A.Lange & S?hne, Cartier, Harry Winston, Hermes, Hublot, IWC, Rolex, and Vacheron Constantin to be a stuffy place in a mega city. Yet, nestled in a Rocky Mountain valley (at almost 8,000 feet elevation), the town of Aspen is home to Meridian Jewelers, who pride themselves on their unpretentious, laid-back atmosphere. While less than 7,000 people call Aspen home, i
Swedish Arlanch Gold Watch No 1 Is Eco Friendly-ish, Little In More Ways Than One
Made for a man, sized for a woman? Apparently that is what Swedish watch designer Gabriel Arlanch had in mind when making his first watch, the Arlanch Gold Watch No 1 as it is 32mm wide. Little! Sorta kid sized, or lady sized. Maybe I am getting it all wrong and this is a woman's watch. The was was announced mid last year, but this is the first I have heard of it. Aside from the passable looks, the real press release filler for the watch is it's eco-friendly features. Also, if the watch is Swedish, why does it say "Made in Germany" on it? Swedish design. Swiss movement, Germany manufacture. At least it looks that way.First the 14k gold case is make of recycled gold. Not sure what the means, but I think that "recycling gold" is more a business than it is being eco-friendly. Maybe the gold is taken from industrial use, which is possible. Though I don't consider women selling their jewelry to avoid their houses being foreclosed exactly Earth preservation inspired. Then you have the leathe
Can these two Royal Oaks co-exist?
The Jumbo 15202 vs the RO 15400. In the same collection that is. I ever thought about flipping my 15400 for the Jumbo since the theory goes that the Jumbo is a more authentic and superior version of the two ROs and keeping the 15400 after acquiring the Jumbo will be redandunt. But now having compared them many times, I think they are actually rather different. The 15400 is probably concieved as a beefier and sportier version of the original RO while the Jumbo with its thin profile and elegant looks is considerably dressier. While arguable, I also think the 15400 has a newer / more advance movement and a more robust case design. So I think they can complement each other. Or am I off track? So what are your thoughts?

Favorite Nautilus in Category
A thread to discuss the merits of those Nautilus we like the best.Remember there are no winners and there certainly are no losers.Just a discussion of which Nautilus we like and why.Pictures are a must whenever possible, remember it's awfully hard to discuss the beauty of something without a picture. There are 17 models in this category, as such I actually have a couple of favorites. From the Patek Phillipe website:Strong design and reliabilityThe Nautilus collection was introduced in 1976. Patek Philippe was looking for a strong design and an inimitable personality. An inspiration for its design soon emerged: The universal shape of a porthole found on virtually all maritime vessels. The original model was the Ref. 3700/1 in steel. Since then, the Nautilus has established itself as a classic, elegant sports watch and the original reference is one of the most sought-after timepieces at auction. The new Nautilus collection showcases the flattering redesign of Patek Philippe's casually eleg
