Nearly got scammed
I posted a WTB for a Pam 161 on Paneristi and after a few days I got a hit. I waited a couple of weeks and responded. The guy had the 161. I told him I had trust issues and needed references and pictures of everything that comes with the watch. He sends a bunch of pictures that looked pretty good but none of the pictures showed everything together. It showed box and papers and then a picture of the watch on its black cushion. I asked for everything together as there were one set of pictures of the watch with bracelet on and another with the strap. I asked for pictures of the watch as it is today. He sends numerous pictures of the watch showing today's date. So I'm still not sure so I google search that watch and look through a bunch of pictures and there it is. The exact same picture that he sent me on a dealer site. That guy thought I wouldn't check and just believe him. His one reference did respond saying he was a good seller. Hello guys,I have a technical question for the expertsI would like to ask if i can fit the Jubilee bracelet 72610 the one installed on the DJ2, forget about the height of the case, i know the width of the lugs should be 21MM which is the same as for the deepsea, i always liked the jubilee bracelet on the deepseA, i already have the super jubilee bracelet installed on my kermit sub. WG Pepsi owners- buy/sell/add another Pepsi? Thoughts on Basel 18?
I've seen a lot of posts around here thinking about what current owners will do. So I'd thought it would be interesting to hear what current owners of the black dial WG Pepsi will do with the BLRO and their thoughts the new Pepsi models. Is anybody thinking of adding one of the new Pepsi models? First rolex... with questions.
Decided to get the BLNR. Dealer doesn't have it in stock, but a fellow customer was nice enough to show me his (and even let me try it on). Sealed the deal with a down payment and delivery is expected sometime during the first quarter of 2018. Up to now the only watch that I own is if I count my Fitbit and the fossil from high school girlfriend; this rolex will be my gift to myself for making my first million. For such reason I will be buying it new. Once I take delivery I do plan on having it engraved with something meaningful to commemorate the occasion. Dealer says he can do engravings in house. Is that a good idea? If the engravings I want is a bit more complex; should I explore alternatives?Growing up my family didn't have much so I won't be getting anything along the line of an heirloom, so I want this rolex to be something that I can give to my kids.
