Christophe Claret Dual Tow NightEagle Watch
I am like the watch paparazzi sometimes. Look what I saw being worn on the wrist of Christophe Claret, the very man who created this watch, and the name on the dial. How cool is that. Master watch maker Christophe Claret waited until last year to put his name on a watch with the Dual Tow, an incredibly impressive luxury watch that I discussed here. The vast details that make this watch interesting I attempted to cover there. There is no point in my spending an hour discussing the complex features and technical merits of the Dual Tow. The watch is a monopusher chronograph with a complex planetary gear system (that you can see), a chime that goes along with pushing the button (using a hammer and gong), a tourbillon, and the time read on rubber belts. All in an amazing watch case fit for a king - and with the price that these custom made limited edition pieces go for, pretty much only fit for a king. Hello members,My first post. First of all, thank you to the mods and members of this site to help bring together a great community of WISs.I have just purchased a pre-owned Omega Planet Ocean 42mm 2500 calibre movement. I know it's a little too late ask this now, but wanted your opinion on its authenticity. I have no reason to believe that the watch is not authentic, but it's my first (and hopefully many more to come) big watch purchase and it'd be nice to have your confirmation. What do you guys think? Speedy Tuesday Bracelet
I am on the list and and I can't wait to get my hands on this watch. I used to own a classic Speedy, loved it, sold it, regretted it (story of my life).I think the Speedy Tuesday is incredible handsome, one of the best looking Speedy special editions, and I intend to properly wear it. Only downside: no real bracelet.Has anybody thought of getting a steel bracelet for this watch yet? I am thinking of getting a 1499/1498 because it's less chunky - but that's just me. I have a smaller wrist.Thoughts?

Some thoughts on perpetual calendars
Recently I previewed a very beautiful Ref 3448 in white gold from 1975. A true grail watch that hides a lot of complexity beneath a very clean and simple dial and case. It was quite magical on the wrist.But it got me thinking again about Ref. 5320. Ref. 3448 has no leap year indicator but is in a 38.5 mm case. Ref. 3445 is different to Ref. 3448 as it has a leap year indicator but therefore makes the dial offcentered.The 5320 has a leap year indicator and on top of that has a day/night indicator (which although rather useless, gives the dial nice symmetry). I think in the larger case of the Ref. 5320, the leap year and day/night look good and balanced. The watch is interesting as it combines a sporty look with luminescent markers and hands, but at the same time is a very classical complication with clear vintage lineage. Rolex Day-Date or Calatrava?
I'm considering a switch from a Rolex day-date to a Calatrava. I'm interested in a Patek 5096. I would wear this watch for work and play (and I think the 5096 is a classic style that can do double duty). Any thoughts on making this switch?Also, any thoughts on how and where to track down a 5096 (which is no longer in production)?Thanks. LS
