Omega vs. Rolex???
Gentlemen, I'm new to the high end watch market. I just got a new job and have a new baby on the way (our first). To celebrate I was planning on buying a new watch. I'm considering the Planet Ocean Chrono ref 2210.51.00 or the Rolex GMT IIc. Do you guys have any input on which is the better movement. Or in general which is the better watch overall. GMT Pics on Strap - No Bracelets
Hi all,I've been doing some searching around some leather/nato/rubber straps for my GMT to change up the look a little, and wanted to see if anyone had any inspiration. I know that the watch looks best on the bracelet, and I do love it, but wanted to see if anyone had wrist shots or other pictures of their watch mounted on another apparatus. Let's see em!
Date wheel change - naive (?) from newbie.
Newbie...bear with me. From what I understand, there is typically a 5 min. leeway on either side of Midnight for the date wheel to change. It may also depend on the attachment of the hands when assembled. Is this correct?Typically, my DJ41 has always made the switch when the 2nd hand hits the 12 hr. marker (when I've been awake to notice...Lol). Last night it changed 20 sec. earlier; hence,the date changed 12:03:40. Not concerned, but am wondering why the change up all of a sudden. Enlighten my curiosity please. Thanks in advance!
