'new' warranty cards + question
I'm looking to acquire a pre-owned from a seller in EU.he's sent me all photos of the card and papers, and i noticed the warranty card does not have the AD stamp or date.he's telling the 'new' cards now require electronic (online) registration, and no longer have stamping by ADs.the watch, card and books all have consistent serial# stamps.can anyone verify if this is true?I'm just wondering how does AP verify purchase date (and therefore warranty expiration) if there's no paper trail (assuming no printed receipt from AD)?lastly, anyone know if JB Jewelers in Israel and UK is an AP AD?tks!

Im new to the forum thought Id quick intro with a pic. This might be played out (steering wheel / watch pics) but I dont think it getting old. With access so many great cars (I rent exotic cars in LA) and one of my favorite watches, its fun pairing them up. What do you think of this 458 Spider steering wheel shot? Why are platinum watches more expensive than good ones???
So platona is my grail and it really shocks me the price difference between platinum and gold watches!!!If you take it economically, platinum is cheaper than gold ($1006 vs $1350 per Troy once)If you take it chemically (which also reflects ease of manufacturing different metals) gold is a heavier metal (atomic weight 79 while platinum is 78) which means they are about as equally hard/easy to manufacture. If anything gold is harder being the heavier metal!!As far as rarity, gold is in more demand, hence the more expensive metal!!!Sooooooooooo why on earth are platinum watches more expensive than gold ones?!!! Other than THAT’S WHAT ROLEX WANTS!
