Running Time: Olympic Hero Usain Bolt Gets His Own Hublot Watch
Jamaican sprinter Usain “Lightning” Bolt became known as the world’s fastest man back in 2008, when he won a gold medal and set new Olympic records at the summer games in Beijing. Now, as Bolt prepares to defend his title this year in London, he will have his own personalized Hublot watch to record his lap times: the King Power Usain Bolt. The new watch, which was designed in collaboration with the Olympic athlete and contains Hublot’s HUB4100 chronograph movement, incorporates several signature elements that are representative of Bolt. On the dial, a silhouette of Bolt in his recognizable sprint pose is applied in anthracite gray transfer atop a black background in the small seconds subdial at 9 o’clock. In the 12-hour chronograph subdial at 6 o’clock, the numbers and indices are in the green color of the Jamaican flag. The dial also has a 30-minute chronograph counter at 3 o’clock and date window at 4:30. (Click on watch photos for larger imag
RICHARD MILLE RM 50-02 ACJ
This is no ordinary partnership. The collaboration between Richard Mille and Airbus Corporate Jets has been sealed by a timepiece designed together. The RM 50-02 ACJ was unveiled at the SIHH in Geneva and takes us on a first class flight to the land of luxury watches. Welcome on board the manual wind movement with a tourbillon and split seconds chronograph to measure intermediary time housed in a high-tech case made of a titanium and aluminium alloy to make it sturdy yet lightweight. The porthole design is topped by a ceramic bezel so we can see into the cockpit of an exceptional calibre with titanium components. A twin indicator enables you to wind and use the chronograph. It reviews pressure on the spring to avoid it being too slack or tight. Sit back and enjoy the 70-hour power reserve displayed on a digital scale at 11 o' clock. Inherited De Ville from Great Grandfather
Hello everyone, I'm new around here and I just wanted to post a couple pictures of the old Omega De Ville 14k YG I inherited from my great grandfather on my mother's side. It had been sitting in a box in a drawer for the past few decades, and so after taking it for a checkup and cleaning, it is now a very enjoyable and meaningful part of my attire.
When and where will it stop?
Since some time we have seen a huge increase in 5711 prices, and the 5712 seems to be following the same path, prices are increasingly strong. Do you think rhis trend will continue, either go up or stay stable, or will this stop and get back to normal prices some day soon? For the Daytona C I am sure prices will drop, sure they will be a little more than retail, but not such huge difference. When I see prices for 5711/12, I think how is it possible that there are people willing to pay up to 10 grand more than retail, just nuts, happy as I have both, and no intention to sell, but I would not have paid grey dealer prices for unworn on these 2, maybe a few k more, but 10? Never. What do you guys think?
YG Submariner or YG Daytona?
The YG Submariner has always been a massive grail of mine, but last night I had a wonderful conversation with a gentleman wearing a YG Daytona with champagne dial and black sub-dials. I was blown away by the beauty of this watch, and it got me thinking... which do you guys prefer as a YG sports Rolex: The Submariner or the Daytona? I would love to hear your opinions, and of course, enjoy any pictures that you'd like to share!
