Limes Integral Gives Franck Muller Like Tonneau Style: For Sale On eBay
Limes Watch Company hails from popular watch manufacturing Pforzheim Germany. Recently, I discussed Botta Design watches that also have their manufacturing plant in Pforzheim. Limes operates in the typical Teutonic watch making fashion of making high quality watches at relatively low prices. For the design, movement, fit, finish, price, and overall experience, a Swiss watch will never beat the sheer efficiency and consistency of German offerings. Germans really put the industrialization into watch making with a craftsman twist, while Swiss watches are still made with varying degrees of elitism and maintenance of traditional ideals. The Limes Integral watch is instantly an homage to the popular style of watch master Franck Muller whose watches present an instantly recognizable numbering font. Difficult to describe, the Franck Muller numbers are classy while whimsical, and effective while expressive. The Tonneau (barrel) shape of the Limes Integral has been borrowed from the classic Fran
Omega Servicing Question
Am thinking of buying a pre-loved 3570.50 as per my previous thread on the Speedmaster and was wondering how Omega deals with servicing used watches? Is it like Rolex where they don't really care who owns the watch? They just service it, charge you an arm and leg to service, then ship it back with a 2yr warranty in your name? Thanks,Eric
Sub Went on an Adventure
Here's how the day starts....Standard morning except the kids don't have school so they are sleeping in. I get up and jump in the shower, some new bar of soap in there, smells nice. Seems it's going to be a good day. Hop out, dry off, start getting dressed and head to the bedroom for my wallet and whatnot. Go to the nightstand for my five day old Hulk, yep, it's not there. Slight panic sets in, but it has to be around here somewhere. I have a new carpet coming in a week or two so there have been samples floating around the house for a few weeks. I've been resting my watches on those at night, dumb I know but my watches appreciate it. Where my Hulk one rested there is a rock. Not any rock, but a paperweight rock with Dad You Rock painted on it from a father's day a few years ago.I love that rock, but it's not my Sub. I look around, it's not anywhere. Not on the floor, under the bed, on my dresser, even checked the baseboards, maybe it fell in there somehow. It's nowhere, got
Ferrite, meteor, and other stone type dials
I was in an ad today and they had a ferrite dial day date. I had never seen one before. Needless to say it was beautiful. They didn't have a meteor dial but I am aware of them. (Man I would love to own a meteor dial one day.) I think I saw a tiger eye dial one time and mop dials are fairly common. This got me wondering about the other Rolex dials made of natural substances (other than gold and platinum) like stones and meteors. Does anyone know or have a picture of any other types of stone or natural material dials? Thank you in advance. Love the information on this site.
