Showing off my new additions! :)
Proud papa wanting to showoff my new addition with my diver and my new strap! :)(Shameless plug I know) hahahaha BUT LOOK AT THOSE HANDS!
Question on strap for ROO 44 SS
I have a ROO 44 SS, I was also given an AP Bands black horn back with red stitching. I have two questions, first what size is the tang buckle that comes on the 44 is it the same as the diver? Second question, what are your thoughts on putting a horn back with red stitching on this watch. Not sure if it is too much. Watch already has a lot of wrist presents, and don't want to go overboard with look at my watch. Thank you in advance.
Omega vs. Rolex???
Gentlemen, I'm new to the high end watch market. I just got a new job and have a new baby on the way (our first). To celebrate I was planning on buying a new watch. I'm considering the Planet Ocean Chrono ref 2210.51.00 or the Rolex GMT IIc. Do you guys have any input on which is the better movement. Or in general which is the better watch overall. And finally where to buy and be the best price. Thanks everyone. I appreciate the input.
Panerai Boutique - Johannesburg
I'm hopefully off to Jo'burg with Mrs Van D on Wednesday night just for a couple of days. I've been in correspondence with the Panerai boutique making a stock enquiry. The price of the 533 isn't very competitive (unfortunately), which is most likely down to the weak GB. I can do a lot better here in the UK and I'm (here's that word again - hopefully) home for Christmas. My man in Singapore will also do better but, that said, I haven't asked about discounts because I'm not sure that's the done thing in email. I didn't ask about the 372 but I think that's most likely my next acquisition anyway.Whilst the numbers might not work, the chaps that have replied to my emails seem like pretty decent guys so I'll try to get over to the boutique anyway to say hello and have a mooch. Has anyone any experience of the Jo'burg boutique?
Panerai 312
Thinking about a Pam 312 as my first Panerai. Any thoughts? My wrist is a little over 6.5 inches. Thanks in advance.
