3 Exceptional Boutique Watches We Found Outside of SIHH 2015
Every year at Geneva’s SIHH watch salon, a host of luxury watch brands (most of them owned by the Richemont Group) unveil their new timepieces to international retailers, collectors, and journalists. In recent years, other smaller, non-participating brands have set up shop outside of the SIHH in Geneva’s luxury hotels, displaying new models of their own. Its complex case is made up of 52 parts and is especially notable for its moving, flexible lugs that make the large timepiece eminently wearable on all types of wrists despite its rather large case diameter (43 mm). Archimede Pilot XL Automatik Watch
If you are looking for a good priced, well mannered, and large sized pilot style watch, this just might be the piece for you. Archimede released their next Pilot automatic watch with the Pilot XL Automatik. The watch takes everything you like about the traditional simple Pilot watch look and ups the size from 39mm or 42mm to 45mm. The crown itself is 8mm thick. This is actually a good size making for a decidedly large watch that I would NOT describe as being silly big. "That giant watch looks ridiculous on your wrist!" .is not a statement this watch will attract.The Archimede Pilot XL is housed in a steel case (made by Ickler) with a brushed finish, and the sapphire crystal has a double AR coating - so it is quite easy to view and won't really have glare. The dial is simple with high contrasting numerals and blued hands coated with lots of lume. It is a classic looking and highly functional watch face. It came in!! My mesh bracelet arrived today. Man, it seemed almost as big as the rubber strap, had to remove three links to fit.I thought the rubber strap had a great fit, but the mesh bracelet is unreal. It just molds to your wrist.Some quicky shots,Pardon the peeling hand, a residual for our recent trip to Hawaii.OK,...not bracelet related, but the lume on this one is just fantastic.

NYC ADs
Anyone have a good working relationship with the ADs in NYC? Was thinking about hitting one or two up this weekend to see what SS options they have. I've popped into the Torneau across from Bryant Park a few times but nothing. Curious if anyone has any intel on the other locations. Cheers...
