A cherished one returns to the fold
This one returned to the collection on Monday and has been on my wrist ever since:This is a custom Speedy that I put together back in 2006 and was my second project watch (PW2). The movement came out of an early 80's beater given to me by a friend:Unfortunately I sold it in 2008 to help fund the Explorer II and have grieved ever since. Fortunately, the purchaser has graciously allowed me to have him back.My new LiquidMetal Planet Ocean and GMT IIc must be wondering what happened. They've sat on the winder since Monday. PW2? What's a PW2?, they must be asking.Fr. John?
One and only Nautilus - Which would it be?
Just a random thread to see what everyone would lean towards if they could only have one Nautilus.Hypothetical situation of course - god forbid Personally would be torn between the 5711 and 5990.The simplicity of the blue dial on the 5711, the understated beauty, it's just perfect. The proportions, complication, and just everything about the 5990 is also just incredible.Slight edge to the 5711 in my case as a one and only nautilus.Perfect only one IMO.You?

Stressed: Heritage BB In House or ETA
I've spent the last 4 hours reading countless forums and answers (some even posted on TRF) and I'm still torn. What would you Rolex vets choose, the in house or ETA? I don't want to say I'm a movement SNOB but I do like knowing that I have some in house, custom to that specific watch but at the same time I heard the in house variant is quite a bit thicker (can I get confirmation from someone who handled both?). I don't care about how expensive the servicing costs MIGHT BE down the line, I prefer the in house face but ETA is fine too. The look is not a deal breaker for me. Some complain about the rivets but that doesn't apply as I will be going with the strap. Simply put, what is the superior, what is the preferred, what would YOU get between the two? I do know that the new one has 70+ hour power reserve and more anti-magnetic properties.
