Event Recap: Celebrating Baume & Mercier's 2014 Collection Just In Time For Father's Day
Last night we had the privilege of hosting an awesome group of readers and collectors at New York City's Soho House to go hands-on with the latest releases from Baume & Mercier. There were great watches and great conversation in abundance, and Rudy Chavez, President of Baume & Mercier North America, welcomed guests and shared his knowledge of both the 2014 novelties and Baume & Mercier's history. We were all the first to see Baume's #CelebrateDad campaign video, which you can also see below. Thank you to everyone who came and please enjoy this photo report of the evening's festivities. You can see all of Baume & Mercier's most interesting pieces right here. 2 OF 25 3 OF 25 4 OF 25 5 OF 25 6 OF
Introducing: The New F.P. Journe Octa Divine, With A Redesigned Dial And Larger Case
While SIHH 2016 is certainly the main topic in the watch world right now, it is not the only game in town when it comes to watch announcements this week. F.P. Journe has announced an update of their Octa Divine watch. You may recall that earlier this year F.P. Journe released a box set to commemorate the end of their production of 38 mm watches. In tandem with dropping the 38 mm size, Journe is also doing a piece-by-piece redesign of the collection. In order to do this, the dial needs to be redesigned because it wouldn’t look right to simply put the same dial in a larger case. Last year the Octa Lune was redesigned, and this year it's time for a redesign of the Lune’s sister watch, the Octa Divine. 1 OF 1 The new Octa Divine is generally a larger version of the old Divine with a few tweaks. ETA black bay vs In-house
I was just wondering the other day what makes the ETA black bay in black so sought after. Is it that it looks very similar to a vintage black bay with its smiley text and all? More serviceable? More proven/ tried and true? Maybe it's that people hate the purely ornamental rivets on the new bracelet? Im just curious and I think these cover most of the reasons but maybe there are some ETA BB owners out there that have more to addSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
