Formex A780 Watches For 2010
For 2010 Formex offers two versions of its new A780 watch collection. All are 45mm wide in interesting cases and come in a three-hand automatic version, as well as a quartz chronograph model. I have been a fan of Formex watches for a while - enjoying their "pure" feeling race inspired watches that have some fun tech. Specifically, Formex watches have patented shock absorbing systems that places the case on springs (so to say), this is meant to protect the movement during periods when the watch is experiencing harsh vibrations - such as during a track race, or anything else where shock and vibration is an issue. The case here is really interesting - as it is a complete mixture of square case and round case. See what I mean? The chronograph pushers (on that version) are meant to look like brake pedals - and the look is pulled off rather well. The final versions of the watches might look a bit different. For instance, the screws around the case on the PVD black cases might not be in black
AP newbie question
Never really looked into AP too much but always admired the various material divers mainly the ceramic but here's a question are AP like Rolex when it comes to modifications and sourcing parts?I only ask as I'd imagine a SS diver with ceramic bezel would look great!
Need Advice in Canada
Well in Vancouver to be more specific.First time poster here, but I'm looking to pickup a PO and was wondering what my best options are in Vancouver. My friend suggested me to go to the peace arch duty free as they sell Omegas there and they are willing to negotiate. Otherwise I'll be going to Hong Kong in a February for Chinese new years however reading forums they don't seem to really give discounts anymore doh. This would be my first big watch purchase so I'm trying to do all the reading I can to edumacate myself.
5205 - Why no love for this ref?
Hi All, I'm new to this forum and very much a novice when it comes to PP. I have however watched the 5205g for a while and while I really like the design and how it wears (even if a little thick). For me, it's the perfect 'young mans' annual calendar, the design is clean and modern. However I want to understand why the secondary market prices are so soft. What in your opinions is driving this? Why no love for this ref (I say no love given the soft resale value)? Is the design top far from what the purists want? Are the production numbers too high? Is is that the retail prices are really just gone way too far?All opinions appreciated.J
