Which Nautilus to really balance out the collection?
Hi All,As you can see, my current collection consists of a '68 Omega Speedmaster Professional (Transitional), Patek Philippe Annual Calendar, Pre-ceramic Rolex GMT Master II, Vacheron Constantin Patrimony, and currently a Panerai Luminor 1950 3-day automatic. Since getting my AC and Patrimony, I have found that the PAM is just too big and heavy to be comfortable so am now considering to flip it and buy a Nautilus. Many of the pictures that I have seen of that watch tend to make it look quite big as well but I recently had a chance to try it on and was amazed at how comfortable it wears on the wrist. It can also be dressed up better than the PAM. I am convinced this is the way to go but am now debating between the 5711 blue, 5711 white, or the 5712. The 5711 blue seems to be the iconic watch (and I have seen numerous polls here to suggest that is the better choice) but I also really like the look of the white as well. DateJust Roulette Wheel Question..
So I've seen early 2000's 116234 models with the red/black date wheel. Odd-Even days. Anyway I really like that feature but in looking at the current models of 116234 I can't get confirmation that it's available and what dials might it be available in. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
When did Rolex start this "SS & WG" thing?
If you go look at the 36 MM Datejust on the Rolex USA web site, you'll find four configuration options:https://.rolex/watches/dateju...l#configuratorSteelSteel & White GoldSteel & Yellow GoldSteel & Everose GoldThe Steel is the domed bezel. The Steel & White Gold is the same steel Datejust, but it has the same white gold fluted bezel that's always been available - and it was just called STEEL. I find this terribly misleading, because the pattern of the steel & yellow gold and steel & everose gold having the bezel AND actual gold center links on the bracelet would lead one to think that the steel and white gold model had white gold center links, when in fact they are simply polished steel. When did this semantic change occur, and does anybody else find it objectionable, even if it's technically correct?
