Watch Experts Network: ‘#TBT Fortis Marinemaster 8001 Chronograph’
Basel prognostications begin as early as January and start in earnest in February. One of the most discussed brands, of course, is Rolex. A quick browse of Rolex forums brings out multitudes of hypotheses about what the giant will release at the show and, then, a month or so later, the actual news is almost universally met with disappointment. While some of the hoped-for watches are plausible, I've seen some fairly wild ones alongside creative photoshopped images. One imaginative idea that I remember distinctly was of a Submariner chronograph or, perhaps, a Daytona diver. In actuality, the idea is not so far-fetched as there are plenty of diving chronographs and why wouldn't Rolex, who is apt in making both styles of watch, wander down that conjoined path? HourTime Show Watch Podcast Episode 163: All About The Apple Watch
Being the tech guys that we are, John and I discuss the Apple Watch at length, from the perspective of its functionality, to its design, to its status as a "watch." Is the Apple Watch the timepiece of the future? A mere gadget? Or something totally different that will nevertheless compete with watches for space on your wrist?Listen to the HourTime Show watch podcast episode 163 here. The direct MP3 download and link is here.
SO...... going forward.
With the brand going boutique only, will AP watches be in demand? Or will the brand just fall apart? I'm interested in some predictions!
First AP arrived and joining the club
First off, I'd like to thank DavidSW and the mod that rectify my posting yesterday. I got super excited and posted the FedEx update and accidentally included my tracking number. Someone actually joked that 11 others were redirecting it as we speak. I thought it was funny but DavidSW didn't and took action pretty quickly to take the post down before anything bad happened. Just never know and I appreciate what he did. I've done two deals with David and this just goes to show what a gentleman he is. Without further ado, on to the pictures to tell the story. It's been a crazy year of purchases, so I'm telling myself that this is IT for awhile. Enjoy the pictures as I will be enjoying my new 15400! Just awesome.
What about 5204p ?
Hi everyoneI have quiet good pieces in my collection like 5164a, 5990a, 5980/1r, 5711/1p, 5524g, 5131r, 6102p and I have been keeping an eye on 5204p(black dial) for a while. I didn't any of it around and also did not see any topics about it here. I would like to know about what you think of it ? Does it make sense compared to 5270 ? is it really that limited produced since it is split second ? Do you believe it has a future value ?Any comments and suggestions related to it is welcome.
